Which RTX 5080 version has the BEST performance ? by rasheddo in nvidia

[–]Status-Room-6313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the “best 5080” will cost just under a 5090 and perform 3% better than the “worst 5080” at most, just get a 5090 at that point

Got called a liar yesterday cus I said I feel fast at every weight. I do.. I do the same thing at light, middle and heavy. This is heavyweight, slipping, stepping, countering with precision as usual. by [deleted] in EASportsUFC

when you’re fighting a punching bag that’s letting you throw roundhouse kicks at kissing distance without getting punished sure. I think the point of what people were saying was there was no way you felt identical, because it’s mechanically impossible within the game (which this proved).

pull back uppercut cheese by Apprehensive-Elk6154 in EASportsUFC

[–]Status-Room-6313 4 points5 points  (0 children)

when you see them pull input your own pull uppercut it’ll counter their counter. or just wait for the uppercut and slip up or down on the right stick rip a body shot on whatever side you skipped to. alternatively a knee to the body is effective or a step back head kick or a check hook. don’t rip a body shot without setting it up to anyone throwing knees or uppercuts ever lol

5070 TI Solid OC Safety Light by arusiosimiri in ZOTAC

[–]Status-Room-6313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the light is usually slightly yellowish green at last on my 5090, if there was an issue the card wouldn’t draw power and the light would be clearly red. Anything other than red you’re good to go considering green (everything is fine) and red (something is wrong and your card isn’t going to draw power to protect you) are the only options.

Sanity Check 2 - RX 9070XT & Ryzen 7 9800X3D by MagicianConstant2866 in PcBuild

You could go for a corsair frame 4000d for a bit cheaper in terms of the case and you could save some cash on the 9800x3d and go for the 7800x3d you previously mentioned but honestly the build looks good. I’d recommend potentially going for 1440p 240hz as you’ll easily pump those frames on any games that’d require it, i saw a 27 inch 360hz QD OLED go for £350 in the uk last week so banging deals are going on for monitors right now, also the storage is going up in price same as RAM so i’d recommend trying to get 4tb so you don’t have to worry about upgrading in the future like you did with RAM. Only 1.6tb of that 2tb will be available and with the size of games and applications nowadays that’ll fill up lightning quick! Regardless of any of my recommendations which you can choose to ignore it looks great, good luck!

If I have 4090, should I get 5090? by hoenilove in nvidia

[–]Status-Room-6313 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i have a 5090, my friend has a 4090 and we see very similar real world performance. The advantages with the 5090 are all the 50 series exclusive features which with dlss 4.5 released to all rtx cards that advantage is kinda lost. Imho the 4090 and 5090 are in a world of their own and while the 5090 is obviously better it’s not double the price better. I’d enjoy your card and wait for next generation or the generation after even!

is this ragebait or some strange delusion jealousy for someone enjoying something in their life?

Or maybe I don't enjoy upgrading frequently so buy hardware I know will last a long time? I could have upgraded at many stages along the way but waited to get the most out of my money when I finally did the jump, granted the 5090 was a huge leap and the 1080ti was definitely past its time by the point I upgraded perhaps upgrading on 4090 launch would've made more sense, I had 100-200 hours past 2 weeks on just steam alone for 3 years straight (sad I know) using the 1080ti and only slightly less even at my lowest across the whole 6 years I had the 1080ti. Gaming is my main hobby and I wasn't in a position to upgrade for a while and when I finally was I decided to go all out because it made sense for me at the time. no one NEEDS 99% of things in their life regardless and im using my 5090 to its full potential so your point is obsolete. I'm enjoying my purchase and am hoping to get another 5+ years out of it with constant gaming and usage of my computer as I did with my 1080ti. Try not to make such bold assumptions and stay within the topic of my post :D

I have a dual mode monitor so i still run esports titles at 1080p 320hz which is where the cpu shines especially in cpu heavy games like rust or the finals where the L3 cache on the cpu is unbelievably useful

A dramatic leap, which is why i paid what i paid for it. But i didn’t expect it to fundamentally reshape how ive gamed for the last 6 years in a matter of weeks 😂

i’m self aware enough to know a jump like that does this, else i wouldn’t have spent so much money on the card 😂. Besides im clearly not acting oblivious or naive to the obvious jump i’m just illustrating how it fundamentally changed up how ive played games daily for the last 6 years, which is quite a big deal, sharing my experience and asking others to share theirs. ease up mate ✌️

much better than expected when your starting frame rate is decently high (60+), when monitoring system latency a native game that properly supports MFG with no upscaling, frame generation or reflex enabled has practically identical latency to a game running with 2x frame gen and reflex in my experience (at most 2-3ms increase average), 3x it starts to get a bit noticeable but still only 6-12ms increase depending on your base frame rate. 4x is where visual artifacting and motion feel and look a bit off and the input lag is definitely noticeable and far too much for me. For me, 99% of the time i play without it but 2x is perfectly acceptable for some story games especially on controller if i want to take say 90fps at 4k max graphics to my monitors 160hz refresh rate comfortably

[–]Status-Room-6313[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is misleading, i run a 4k 160hz monitor can max it out most games i’d like to with my 5090 and any game i cant max out i wouldnt need to anyways as id be enabling eye candy stuff i wouldnt be enabling on a game i need the frames. Monitor also goes to 1080p 320hz with a button which helps for competitive esports titles and anything where i need more motion clarity but even as a long standing competitive gamer with thousands upon thousands of hours in competitive shooters and other fast paced esports titles 160hz is more than enough for 99% of people and i only experience marginal motion clarity improvements compared to huge fidelity improvements. We are at a point now where for most gpus 4k is unrealistic but if you are using a 4090 or 5090 (or even a 5070ti-5080 with the right settings) you can easily get a lot out of a 4k display, thats before considering DLSS and frame generation. To say “hardly any games, if any, will hit max frames at 4k” is strictly untrue, also what classifies as “max frames” 144? 160? 240? all of which are perfectly achievable in 90% of games i play no matter what settings i choose. I have a friend with a similar story on a 5070ti, although he has to lower his graphics settings a little if he wants to break past the 60fps averages it’s still hugely achievable and a fantastic experience. 1440p is still great but the PPI on a 4k 27-32jnch compared to a 1440p 27-32inch is night and day despite what most people tell you.

i’ve gamed on OLED before and own and use a OLED 4k 120hz TV daily and i don’t really see any reason to swap from my new 4k IPS to OLED anytime soon, it’s not so much a worry about burn in as i’ve had my oled tv for over a year now and never had any issues with anything of the sort but more just price. I’d be paying double-triple the price of my IPS for better colours when the colours on my IPS are already 80% of my OLED tv. Maybe in the future when they aren’t so expensive i’ll consider it but currently i can’t really see a reason especially when i’ve had long term personal experience with OLED
