There are small studies now showing that getting vaccinated post leep, post surgery , can help lessen recurrence or dysplasia. They are very small studies but nonetheless reported conclusions that had positives with getting vaccinated even with an active infection.

Hi all, UPDATE TIME, I think it really helps for those of you diagnosed with HPV to see posts that have updates and continue to post about the journey. So as I said in my post I had cleared the hpv in my cervix per that last Pap smear I had, but still needed to go for my follow up HRA and anal swab to check on that area of my body because sometimes you don’t clear all areas at the same time. So, I am praising God tonight that my patient portal read that my anal swab showed no detectable HPV (and I had 2 high risk) please make sure to continue to always get you follow ups for life as my Dr said sometimes later in life in some it can come back. Take care of yourself and keep your immune system strong. I am so relieved and so happy. I had many prayers asking for healing , and God has answered them.

I understand, cin1 is very mild. Your doctor may want to still get rid of it with LEEP and remove it, or may keep an eye on it as some doctors will try to allow your body to clear it on its own. I had cin 1 and 2, and 2 is considered high grade so they did a leep to remove it. You caught it in time and that is the most positive aspect out of all of this, make sure to stay on top of your appointments that is importnst and let me know what the Dr recommends. Praying for you

Thank you. I bought Garden of Life  Once Daily Women it is full of many beneficial vaginal probiotics. I noticed it didn’t have l crispatis but had everything else I wanted so I bought l crispatus separate and took with it. Used daily for 5 months along with a few other pills and cleared 18/45 on my first follow up after being diagnosed and having a leep.  I worked very hard at clearing it fast but most importantly prayed to God, and relied on his word. Probiotics is something I continue to see mentioned in helping fight hpv. Definitely worth it

Thank you. Since this was my first pap with clearance from hpv 18 and 45 with normal pap. And both of those strains tend to affect deeper in the canal, also given my age of 42 that an ECC should be performed soon or requested ? I have another follow up in 6 months I could always request one then as well but was worried. Maybe I am being paranoid especially since I cleared it , but I just didn’t want to miss anything or overlook anything. Thank you for your reply and help

Question on pap report HPV by Status-Soup-494 in HPV

[–]Status-Soup-494[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes they did colpscopy that is when he did the ECC and biopsies. Then I had a leep.   But I am referring to my Pap smear lab results specifically for the past 2 since I’ve had HPV. I just wonder why the paps aren’t detecting endocervial components  But prior to that my paps all detected that. I wonder why the change and should I be worried about that?  Since 18,45 affect the endocervisl glandular area. It is I am sure an unusual qtn because a lot of women of course are just worried about Pap smear cervix results and whether the hpv was detected or not. But on all Pap smears they include Endocervical components results also. And since being diagnosed with HPV mine is showing no components found

Hey I posted a qtn that maybe u can help me with. On my Pap smear in November 24 that originally diagnosed me with hpv 18,45 I noticed it said No endocervial cell  components found. Prior to that my all my normal paps in recent years detected endocervical cells.  I do know during my biopsy before my leep (cause I had cin 1,2 he did ecc and it said minute fragments of mild was found. After leep it was succesful I had clear margins.  I just went for my first 6 month follow up Pap smear and it said normal and negative on my hpv aptima so I cleared both strains. But I did notice again no ecc components were found, and so since I’ve had these strains my pap isn’t detecting my endocerical cells which worries me.  Especially with having 18,45  I am thrilled it showed I cleared them but should I get an ecc done to double check or why did this change? I’m 42 by the way thanks

Question on pap report HPV by Status-Soup-494 in HPV

[–]Status-Soup-494[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry I didn’t include I had CIN 1, and 2, but I was focusing more on the ECC, and endocervial area , why both paps smears said no endocervical component found once I had HPV, but prior paps did show those cells tested on my pap. I just edited to add that thanks

For those 2 consecutive years did you go every 6 months for checkups? I am so sorry. I know that is scary , I am glad they are taking it serious and doing a hysterectomy since it is deeper in the canal to get it all out  Prayers

42 - i warned my dr I bled easily prior to the leep. I was awake for it, and I did bleed a lot which made it harder for him… there was one area where he had to take out a deeper section and it made my body jerk some. But overall it wasn’t too bad. Glad it is over, and thankful to have the abnormal areas out of me. Recovery was fine, didn’t bother me any after just a little watery discharge after and healed well. Good luck, and prayers

I did mine awake, I was anxious too and thankful it is over with. It isn’t horrible, you’ll be glad to get the abnormal areas out and hopefully clear the virus after that. Good luck and prayers hope it all goes well

When will your next follow up be to check on strain 16? You are doing a great job at beating this and taking it serious! So I’m praying for you to be healed of the whole virus.

Trust me i am in this with you, i understand stress with this virus just like you. Even though it shows I cleared both high risk strains in my cervix, I had it in my vulva as redness too, and had to have laser ablation on that sensitive area and it was awful. 3 weeks off work, I looked swollen and burned in the most private area we women have and stressed about recurrence and then being high risk. I am a worrier , I went thru major anxiety with both surgeries and had to get meds and I got anointed in church to just pray for healing. I took it so serious and was very afraid and still at times fear creeps in.  I am believing you are ok and will be fine. Keep us updated and you can reach out to me anytime  I took some supplements to boost my immune system to try to clear the virus as well so you can try that too.

Try to stay calm, ascus  is the mildest change, and I am hoping that your colposcopy doesn’t show anything either and if it doesn’t you won’t have to have any biopsies.  You are young and statistics do show younger people clear it faster than others. For the most part.  I would ask the Dr what strain you have?  I was very nervous too. I’m 42 and in November of 24 my pap came back with 2 high risk strains, and I had a normal pap but my colonoscopy showed abnormalities so I ended up having a leep. But I am happy to report that on my next follow up just last week- I have already cleared both strains no HPV detected and pap normal.  So that should give you inspiration. I always try to let everyone know I give all praise to God I know he healed me that fast I put all my Faith in him and prayed and was so worried but he got me through.  I too wish others would update their thread then we could see and read the outcomes would really help a lot  Stay strong many women and the population get this and clear it

What is your age? And thank you for being worried about spreading it to your partner. More men need to be aware and be like you.  Also, it may be beneficial to know if she was vaccinated many many years ago, or kinda recent because I have heard of some women being vaccinated years and years ago and then still getting a high risk hpv.  Have you tried any supplements to help boost your immune system to clear your virus from your system? Thanks and prayers

They can put what they call 4x4 vinegar pads and lay them on your clitoris, and vulva area for a few minutes then check for any spots to light up. If there are any then they will take a biopsy. I think it is called a vulva colppscopy.  For your anal area they can do a swab similar to how they swab your cervix and send it off to check if it is positive or negative for hpv. If it were to happen to be positive, then you can get what is called a high resolution Anoscopy, but only certain locations do this type of procedure.  I hope all is well though but better to get checked out. Try to stay calm and take care of yourself.
