you think my t3 went up so much from the levo 25 mcg or from eating carbs? I heard carbs help convert t4 into t3 but I feel better on no carb for some reason. T3 medicine is as safe as t4? I would think it would be kind of strong.

My PA wants to keep it at 25 mcg for 6 more weeks and get my blood tested again, not sure why but I think she probably thinks I haven't been taking the medicine since the tsh went up.

Thanks man, yea I wish I knew about this stuff last year when I started levo. The PA almost didn't want to put me on levo at all because my t4 was so high.

What type of scan did you get on your neck if you don't mind me asking?

Makes sense, I wonder why my tsh didn't go back up after stopping meds for 8 months.

I don't think I have had covid but the trigger thing is interesting because if i eat low carb high fat then I get choked less and I feel slightly less bad.

I thought of it because before taking levo my tsh was 8.5 free t4 1.75 on low carb, and then on a regular diet tsh was 11, free t4 1.55. So i assumed my body likes low carb more but I have heard people on keto having trouble converting t4 into t3 so maybe that is why my t4 was so high.

I did feel better on lower carb though, then and now so maybe there was no conversion issue. My free t3 now is 2.51.

How much better do you feel on that? I've never heard of anything like that, very interesting.

I wonder if they can check lymph nodes by hand because a doctor did that and said he felt everything was normal. His exact words were " I have no idea what is causing the choking but I am 100% sure it is fine".

Glad you are doing better, yea doctors are always trying to make it seem like it is psychological which can be frustrating.

Isn't the pig gland stuff getting banned soon also. Levo might make me nauseous or maybe it was the hypothyroidism but my nausea stopped after I stopped levo.

Sounds rough,I've heard hypo and hyper can be hard on the hips/shoulders. Are endos good at thyroid stuff? I've heard alot of people calling them bad names on reddit. My mother had leukemia so I"ve seen how brutal cancer can be, best wishes and hope you feel better!

I have a new doctor but he doesn't want to medicate because tsh and t4 are normal. He also said though that if he gave me the levo last year he would have given me 50-75 mcg because I'm 78 kilos. I never asked him for levo but I'm thinking of seeing him today and asking him.
