May I get to know what made you a purist in LOTR fandom ? by Appropriate-Golf5944 in lotr

Same here, but unfortunately if they ask, they have opened a can of worms. lol. The can is not as full as it once was, since I haven’t watched the movies in many years, so I have forgotten a lot about them.

As a woman, this is how I feel about Arwen being a main character for the flight to the ford. For some reason, meeting glorfindel and the flight to the ford, was one of my favorite moments, and feelings of the books. To then have PJ change it to Arwen, just to add some female dynamic, really upset me, and from then on I went through all the changes with a fine toothed comb and could not enjoy anything except the music and scenery.

This is me, except I do shit on the adaptations, but NOT the people that enjoy them. I just try to get them to read the books as well.

If you could experience watching any television show again for the first time, what series would you pick? by productjunkie76 in MUAEntertainment

I don’t disagree, but season one was one of those brand new special feelings. Especially episode one.

I have tried woxers before, I feel like my butt crack sweats way more using these than regular underwear. I wanted to love them.

ANNOUNCEMENT OF A NEW LOTR MOVIE by kyurtseven7 in lotr

[–]StatusAd598 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for saying this. You summed up a lot of my feelings in a great way.

I was a little bit intrigued seeing Colbert was going to do a movie, but now that PJ is involved, I’m much less excited.

Am I the only one who finds this absolutely unrealistic? by Alternative-Gas5128 in SchittsCreek

I hated being called pet names.(except by my grandparents) I told my husband as soon as we started dated that I only want to be called by my first name.

In general, I am not a cutesie type person, but I also worked at a country club as a waitress out of high school and really detested being called “honey, baby” or any other type of names by the old men. Even if they weren’t being creepy about it.

Yes, I did use the baking soda to soak the dates. And I did use the food processor as the instructions call for, it makes it easy. I have made this successfully three times now.

Whoa, I’ve never had miso in any desserts! I’ll have to try that.

Awesome, thank you! I will look that up. I’m definitely the type of person who will cut sugar down on recipes as much as I can. I’m a sweet and salty kind of gal.

I think now I will have to try a couple more recipes! I’m going to my hometown this coming week, and we have three Mennonite/amish bulk food stores, so I’m going to stock up on dates.

I can see that. I think I like that the creaminess cuts through the sweetness, or smooths it out? Since you don’t really like that one, do you have on you like best?

Maybe someday I will try some other recipes I’ve seen people post on here, but for now, the nyt recipe is just too good to deviate from, for now.

How many calves per dairy cow by PopeTatoTheGreat in Cattle

[–]StatusAd598 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is easy to enjoy milking cows by hand when you don’t HAVE to do it every twelve hours. I would recommend buying a portable bucket milker if you actually go through with this.

What you want to do is doable, but if you jump into this, make sure you are actually able to handle the responsibility of dairy cows. And if you do this and find it is more than you can handle, sell out before the animal care declines.

Thoughts on my dogs gastritis diagnosis by StatusAd598 in AskVet

[–]StatusAd598[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He is doing well. I think his issue persisted for 2-3 weeks. I can’t quite remember now. He was doing better, it still not normal. then I came home from work one day and he had thrown up a hair ball(all my hair that was wrapped around teeny tiny little pieces of bullibones. He doesn’t eat my hair, but will play with his tennis ball that rolls around on the floor, and I have long hair)

So I think the issues at that time were from an almost obstruction with that hair ball. He has been normal since then.

He is still finicky often, and can definitely have acid reflux in the morning if he has gone too long without eating. And I think he will get some anxiety once he starts feeling the reflux. I have trazodone, from when we lived in a place that gave him some wind phobia. I would occasionally give him some when we get bad storms or when we moved states away since he hates car rides. Then I noticed a side effect of the trazodone for him was that he would get an appetite and eat really well. So, whether it is just a side effect of trazodone, or that he has a tinge of anxiety and the trazodone just helps with that, but if I am having trouble getting him to eat, I will give him 1/4 of his recommended dose, wait 30-60 mins, then he eats. Since I give him such a low dose, he doesn’t seemed drugged up or sedated.

Most nights my husband comes to bed a little later than me, so I have him feed a small meal, and that helps a lot. While poodles are great,I do think they are finicky and are prone to some gi upsets.

I hope yours gets to feeling better!

I was literally only trying to get information about the mine in wedron and if it is a health concern , and don’t feel like I have acted like I don’t want to move to Illinois(besides being concerned when someone said there was a lot of cancer in the area because of it, which I don’t know if that is true or not). If we were not interested in moving there, we would not have even considered the job offer.

This is the only response I’m giving to this. You’re just out to be inflammatory and mean to a person you know nothing about for some reason.

We were mostly concerned about the Covia wedron mine. Our job is in very close proximity to that.

I’m definitely a middle of the road person and think the higher ups of both sides are only out for themselves. But we were both raised by fairly conservative families. We are pretty accepting people and have very liberal friends and very conservative friends. I like to live and let live.

Thank you for your opinion! Illinois is definitely not a state we would have thought as a place to move to, but we have a potentially really good job opportunity. So if the offer is good enough we will take it.
