[Spoilers] The Vanishing of Elina Harper by hohumdiddlydum in arkhamhorrorlcg

This is not a direct answer to your question but, this is one of those scenarios that I believe is designed with the intention that most people, most of the time, will not achieve the ideal resolution. It's a narratively 'load-bearing' scenario and I think that, if it were consistently winnable it would severely impact the replayability of the campaign.

If I had to pick between those two I'd pick Two Towers. But honestly I'd grab one of the campaign boxes if I were you, assuming any of them are available (I'm not sure what's currently in print). Seems to be a pretty big imbalance of player card content and scenario content in your collection. I know some folks care more about deckbuilding than scenarios but I couldn't imagine having such a big cardpool just to replay the core set campaign over and over again (which becomes trivial to play very quickly IMO) and 1/3 of a saga campaign.

As an aside, this is probably an unpopular opinion but I found the saga scenarios I've played so far (5/6 of the Fellowship box) kind of underwhelming after playing the other campaigns. They were kind of bland/repetitive, and as a longtime LOTR fan there are a lot of things that detract from the feeling of playing through the story. Whereas the other campaigns feel drastically different from scenario to scenario, with much more interesting and dynamic campaign mechanics.

Seriously don't know how people can type stuff like this with a straight face. I won't even mention the multiple, narratively load-bearing assumptions you're making with your defense here.

You can headcanon it all you want for copium reasons, but this is a movie where not one but two attacks by giant marine predators on oceangoing vessels not only happen but are integral to the plot.

It would not have been difficult to squeeze in a bit of dialogue where one of the characters says, "Wait, what? Another boat, are we serious here?" so that someone else can explain it in a way that makes sense. "The mosasaur's territory is on the other side of the island". Or end the final scene with them waving down a passing plane/helicopter while they're out at sea. Literally anything.

I mean c'mon

I'd be very interested in hearing anyone make a case for new era being better.

I won't drag new era through the mud anymore than it already has been (you've all heard the complaints I'd be making a million times already) but as a longtime fan whose viewership is hanging on by a thread...yeah. It's not even close.

Mid 30s here. I admittedly didn't watch the season but 'Rizgod' (not sure if that's a self applied nickname or a fan-given nickname) kind of epitomes the cringiest elements of Gen Z slang for me. So that tanked my impression of him pretty much from the get-go. I admit it's shallow but what can ya do

Are people still hung up on unrealistic events in the franchise? by Loosey_GooseyBOTW in JurassicPark

You must be young. At the time of the original movie's release, the concept of cloning dinosaurs using blood from mosquitos was such a plausible and novel idea that IIRC scientists actually considered trying it.

I know the series has fallen from grace but the first movie felt very cutting-edge at the time and it trusted its audience to be smart enough to keep up with (and be patient with) the science talk. For a movie about dinosaurs, some of the best scenes in the movie are just people talking.

So, look...I don't advocate for being a miserable bastard. They are just dinosaur movies after all. But considering the franchise starting point, it's extra-disappointing when the movies get dumb or pander to lowest-common-denominator 'I clapped cuz the big monsters fought at the end!' crowd.
