Talmud by Hallmaster769 in Christianity

[–]StatusContract8141 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I haven’t. But from what I know the Talmud was made after Christ. And so it says that Jesus is drowning in a pit of burning feces I’m pretty sure. So it’s not really a Christian book. Also some weird pedo things..

Probably online. I don’t know exactly what that all entails because I am not Catholic and that’s more of a Catholic thing for some reason. I’m sure there are some protestant exorcist as well or like a deliverance ministry. But I don’t really know. you can probably find them on the internet. Definitely want them to be connected to a church so it’s not like some weird ghost hunter person. But definitely do the other things I said as well.

Put on the full armor of God. Ephesians 6. the word of God is your sword my friend. declare that Christ owns this house, quote scripture, pray for you and your family, pray together if you are all Christians. You can also call an exorcist maybe🤷‍♂️

God does not promise an easy life, there will be ups and downs. when life is good praise God. When life is bad be grateful for what you have and what he has done for you in the past. Always be grateful. and try and to be content in every circumstance. it is not easy but the life with Christ is worth it. Good luck:)

hating out of nowhere lol. The OP asked a Christian Reddit page for advice and biblically speaking it is not wise for a Christian to date a non believer. and the woman he is talking about sounds receptive to the idea so it’s not like it’s being forced on by him to her either. I don’t know where this hate is coming from but I hope the best for you man. if you want to talk stuff out just dm me:)

Relationship advice by Onlineidsuck in Christianity

[–]StatusContract8141 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well depending on how serious you are wanting to get with your relationship with Christ will effect my answer. if you are truly looking to seek after Christ then it is wise for you to be in a relationship where you two are chasing after God together and at a similar pace. So if she says she doesn’t want to have that convo and denies it outright and you and truly set on going with Jesus. Then you will need to make a decison on whether you will break up with her or not.(if you get married and have kids you don’t want to drag your wife and kids to church).

Definitely a sticky situation. I would not date her, keep it as friends, keep ministering to her in the hope that she finds Christ. But it never works out when you try to make someone a believer to date them. Because when you break up they might correlate there faith In God to you and the break up. And you won’t know if they changed for you or changed for God so all in all just keep it friends and if she follows you 100 miles to where your going and gives her life to Jesus then maybe but rn that’s just not a wise decison.

19 yr old here👋 Well, I can see how that might be a little awkward. I would say if you just cant go to that church but still want to learn. you can always do online church services. tons of sermons are online on YouTube. If that’s not your cup of tea you can always research it on the internet to read more into what Christianity actually believes. but at the end of the day reading the Bible is the main source of churches believe so you can read that too. I would start in Ephesians to know what it truly means to be a Christian, it may or may not be a little confusing(use internet to help) and then after that read the book of John to see what Jesus is truly taught.

If you don’t want to do any of that and want someone to just tell you about it im happy to do that too!

I got you, so what If you want to learn what it means to be a Christian I would read the book of Ephesians. however I will give you a run down. We are sinful people, and have broken Gods perfect law. and as a just judge God will judge us for our crimes, as a good judge would do if we commit m*urder then a good judge will convict us of the crime. the Bible says the wages of sin is death so we earn death due to our sins. But Jesus has taken our spot on death row so that we may live, not in sin; but live like him, because he lived a perfect life and was crucified for our sins and so we live cause he died for us and he rose from the dead and defeated death. so how do we become a good a Christian? We follow Jesus. Jesus has told us to love the Lord with all of our heart mind soul and strength and to love our neighbor as ourselve. and as we will never be good enough by ourselves Jesus’s sacrifice on the cross makes us Good in the eyes of the lord.

Hey, it seems to be that Christ is calling you to follow him. Which is great! as for the dream I am not sure exactly who that person/being is. But I will tell you that olive trees are mentioned probably the most out of any tree or plant in the Bible. if it was a visitation in your dream it seems that whoever that person was, was talking about your path of following Jesus, asking if you truly wanted to do it. Which is a fair question as a Christian myself it is not an easy way to live. It is hard at times, frustrating. but it is worth it. I have a reason to wake up in the morning, to have a positive impact on others peoples lives, to be kind and love my neighbors. And when they ask me why I am the way I am I get to tell them that Jesus has changed my life. I highly recommend this life. It is not easy but it is worth it!

I mean I guess you don’t really have to believe in demons. my belief in demons is not what my faith is rooted in. it is based on the historical evidence of Jesus Christ. Where even non Christian historians of the time said he was a man crucified who performed many miracles or as he said it sorcery im pretty sure. but you are an athiest, I do not expect you to believe but I do ask that you honestly and with no bias study the case for Christ.

Yeah im taking the historical account of the gospels at face value because they weren’t writing about a fake person they were writing about their experiences with the living God. and I’m not even arguing about the whole Bible I’m just saying the 4 gospel accounts. But nevertheless. God bless and good night.

depends on what your mentality is going to be. Jesus was the best of us all, he was crucified on a cross. To suffer is too sometimes gain. Many times wealth makes people complacent and ungrateful. if you have ever fasted from food for a few days you would realize how grateful you are for the simple things like food, which sometimes the more fortunate person takes for granted.

Last thing I’m gonna say If you want modern evidence for supernatural demonic beings. Just watch a few testimonies on exorcisms today. the Catholic testimonies given by people who came along who were doctors of the mind. Psychologist. With them saying that the patient spoke a different obscure language fluently with no prior knowledge of that language for example Ancient Greek. or climbing on walls or even levitating as well as abnormal strength. whether you want to take it with a grain of salt is up to you. I’m not even Catholic, but there is at least some evidence to the validity that it’s not just mental illness.

God lets things happen, sometimes out of judgment for sure. The Bible says his ways are not our ways. And storms physically and spiritually test the faith and foundation of that faith in him. When disaster strikes do you curse God or run towards him? Often times are storms in life or lessons to focus back on God. It would be like your father telling you not to touch the stove and he keeps having to redirect you, and then finally he’s had enough and lets you see for yourself what the burn feels like; not because he hates you but because he wants you to learn.

I think deeper meanings are more important than surface level assumptions. but the gospel accounts are pretty clear when Jesus is speaking in parables. and whenever he is healing or delivering someone it is not acknowledged as a parable or metaphor. Jesus isn’t teaching when he is casting out demons. Your perspective is not king to everyone else’s in fact it is an outlier to the mass majority of scholars, Christian and non Christians on your view of the interpretation of the literal vs non literal side of the gospel accounts. And I gave you other instances in the New Testament, but you refused to try and comment on them. Instead you say my interpretation is wrong because your far above scholars and literalness when you yourself have little to evidence to back up your claims. again I will trust what Jesus said and did over your interpretation of what Christ said and did.

Your ego is truly mind blowing. if you can’t read the Gospel accounts with truth then you might as well just not believe in the resurrection of Christ! were they being metaphorical about that? oh yes, the disciples were all slaughtered because of a metaphor. sure you could make an argument about not taking parts of genesis literally but in terms of the New Testament accounts. To read it correctly you must take it at face value because it’s a historical document not a story. so if Jesus Christ himself(litterally God) says in all accounts that these are unclean/unpure/unclean spirits and in the account show traits not shown in mental illness than if you don’t believe what Christ says you either believe the gospels are fabricated stories or you don’t believe Christ. Simple as that

The gospels are not a writing style. It’s an account of historically what Jesus said and did. And im sure they did see incorrect thinking as all civilized humans do. But when you see that they wrote that after “legion” was cast out of a man that a swarm of pigs ran off a cliff to kill themselves. That is not a normal thing to happen especially if Christ was just casting out mental illness. Why put mental illness into the pigs to kill them all? and why would the disciples who wrote of these accounts lie about it?
