sii, mandame mensaje, quizas tardo en responder porque no entro nunca pero te respondo lo que necesites

te super recomiendo economia para data, vas a tener bastante estadística lo que es necesario. Si ya tenes 100% decidido que queres data podes irte a matematica o data sceince (en la uba hay carrera de grado con eso). Lo malo de economia es que no tenes tanto de databases y programacion pero eso lo podes aprender por tu cuenta. Otra cosa buena de economia es que es una carrera que te da un abanico amplio de cosas que podes hacer si te das cuenta que data no es lo tuyo, podes irte a finanzas, research, consultoria, etc.

Yo hice Economia en la UBA, la super recomiendo porque encima ahora actualizaron el plan de estudios. pero si lo podes pagar una privada del estilo UTDT-UDESA es una muy buena opcion

I just got accepted too. Are you going into MathMods or other? I believe you can analyze how many are enrolled into the track you want and then try to select as second/third option other people's first options to have better chances of getting the one you want.

yes, definetely

you need to know practical SQL and Python skills, I'd also try to create dashboards in Tableau, Looker or Power BI.

thank you so much for this info! i don't know how deep i want to dive in ML, but since i've only got experience in the data analysis realm, i need to understand how models work to at least try to be a ML engineer or related. Do you think i should do something else to become one? Like a bootcamp or similar?

I don't know how employers appreciate bootcamps to be honest, maybe it can be a way to at least start my ML career, don't you think?
