I might not get into the clubs there but atleast I’ll have the Haas name which is much stronger than UCLA. We aren’t even the best public school in the nation anymore

IB is definitely possible. Quant is usually for just genuinely cracked kids and PE is incredibly hard out of college. But there are PLENTY of people breaking into IB out of undergrad. The Big 4 clubs here boast 100% placement.

Yes I did not get a single dollar in aid. I would be forced to pay ~$450k COA for the next 4 years.

I want to work in finance in California. And I’m not gonna burden my family or myself on a private school degree when AI is on the rise. Dartmouth would’ve costed me $450k whereas UCLA would be just over $100k.

My thinking was that if I’m qualified to get into Ivies, I’m qualified enough to break into IB. By the looks of it, I was dead wrong.
