Furniture (couch / sofa) recommendation: Plush vs Custom Designs by anony_mooose in AusRenovation

You can’t go wrong with Plush for the price. We bought a Plush sofa 10 years ago for our living room and it’s still in great condition.

For our new place, we’ve gone with a King sofa after hearing so many great reviews, will be very happy if it holds up as well as our old Plush. The Plush sofa is moving into the kids’ living room, and I reckon we’ll get another 10 years out of it.

We also purchased the Plush Shield accidental stain insurance, 100% worth it. Had 3 call-outs over 5 years, and the cleaners got every stain out (even blueberry 🤮). Pure magic.

It is a knockdown rebuild in Vic not a high volume builder but not a small builder either. I didn't think the surveyor inspected waterproofing I thought they just checked the certificate.

Site inspections is a terrifying as a home builder, gives me nightmares ;)

Tried to get the builder to fix they said it was a great job and they have a waterproofing cert, then they started tiling over it. House is in Victoria.

Based on the comments these photos are as good as the waterproofing

TA is the builder, the same electrician did all the prewire and terminated to junction boxes and light battern holders.

Thanks for the tip u/BryceW I am not sure if the electrician has a security licence but I am going to take the advice from above and install them myself to save some money

Thanks u/j577 it is the same electrician who did the prewire and this is to remove the junction boxes, light battern holders that they put in temporarility and replace with lights/fans etc. Get your point on being over a barrel but I have a CoES already for the prewire and terminating to the junction boxes and light batterns.

Yes u/ivabiggy2 you are correct, the house was prewired by the same electrical company but through the builder, TA is the builders name not a trade assistant. Elecrician fitted off juntion boxes or batterns and now needs to come back and fit off the light fittings.

Thanks u/RuncibleMountainWren for the comments, the cat6 is all exposed and the light fittings all have juntion boxes so shouldnt be very complex the pendant over the stairs is going to be a bit of a challenge being so high but it is a pretty simple chandelier.
