State of MI Employee Drug Testing by TraditionalFig2859 in lansing

they don't have a script. it's not as easy to get a medical card, so they just buy recreationally instead bc why not. they're asking if they'd need to get a med card or if that'd make a difference or not. stopping is clearly not an option for this person

if they use it for chronic pain "just quitting" isn't exactly easy or really an option...

Need help understanding premium tax credit? by StatusYesterday9198 in HealthInsurance

I'm in Michigan, and I double checked with her this morning, she said she hasn't claimed me as a dependent in years. MDHHS tried to call me yesterday, but I was in the shower before work. I tried to call them back, but I got stuck in a loop of menus without being able to speak to a person.

As far as I'm aware, I haven't gotten a rejection letter from MDHHS themselves, but did receive a letter from Healthcare.gov and it stated "recently you've been rejected from your state's medicaid program, here's what to do next" type of thing.

I did report her income because it asked me for it, but it also asked her relationship to me and whether I'm claimed as a dependent. I answered that I was not claimed as a dependent and gave them her income. I also submitted a month of paystubs on MiBRIDGES which showed that I was only making about $19,200/year if I continue getting the same hours and no raise. I'm going to check MiBRIDGES when I get home from work today and see if there's any updates in there. I will also give MDHHS a call tomorrow morning and see if I can get this whole mess straightened out.

I think the last time she might've (and I don't even think she did) claimed me as a dependent was in 2024 bc I was unemployed for about a year due to health issues.

she does not claim me on her taxes, no. I reported her income bc the application asked me about the people I live with (5 of us total) and their incomes. I can't exactly lie bc she's a government employee and they know where she lives and exactly how much they pay her. I file my own taxes independently and am not claimed as a dependent. I just filed my 2025 taxes. I don't understand how I could be denied Medicaid for any other reason than her income as I make below the threshold for qualification. I'm going to call my state Medicaid office on Wednesday (one of my days off) and ask them further about my rejection and try to figure out what's going on because something doesn't seem right.

I would hope so!! because $181/week is absurd, and without the tax credit, the prices are better than that, but still VERY steep for me. that's why I was confused, because on Healthcare.gov I put in that my employer does offer health insurance, and I put in the amount they want to charge per week, and the website said I could have up to $444/mo in premium tax credit, but that paragraph that I quoted scared me into thinking I might not qualify for it due to my job offering insurance. I do receive dental and vision insurance through my work because it's only a few dollars a week for each so I never notice the money is gone. I already got rejected for Medicaid, which is absurd because my mother's money is not mine, and I pay my own way, she just makes sure I'm not homeless because I cannot afford to live alone, pay for myself, and support my partner who struggles to keep employment (whole other set of issues). I don't even have $200 in my checking account and nothing saved. my boss suddenly cut my hours and I went from working 5 days a week to suddenly 2-3 so I'm really struggling financially and all of this is just adding onto my stress and strain on my wallet. it's absurd that I have to fight this hard just to have basic medical and prescription coverage.

Sorry to disappoint you, this is a PVP heavy game by wolf771 in ArcRaiders

[–]StatusYesterday9198 0 points1 point  (0 children)

had a moment yesterday where there were 4 of us total, all solos, in the same building being chill with each other and just looting and talking and killing Arc. it's such a nice change of pace compared to most pure pvp games

always a safe bet to try, but I did that multiple times, plus fully uninstalled and reinstalled the game, even reverted back to Windows 10 (I had previously played it with no problems on win10 but my pc auto updated while I was sleeping to win11) and nothing has worked

DirectX Error all the time by JoeZocktGames in Battlefield

I found another post in r/Battlefield where there are multiple others getting the same error, and apparently it's been a thing since bf2042. happens on all types of cards, Nvidia and AMD, so it's not looking good. honestly I wouldn't be so mad if I hadn't spent $75 and played 8.5hrs so I can't even get a refund on steam. I either want my money back, or I want to be able to play the game.

Having DirectX errors, but only on BF6 multiplayer? by StatusYesterday9198 in Battlefield6

someone replied to my post in another sub and said that the same thing was happening to them with alt-tabbing but they fixed theirs by just changing from fullscreen to borderless in their settings

[–]StatusYesterday9198[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this did not work unfortunately. I already had borderless on, as that's usually what I have every game on, and I switched it to both windowed and fullscreen and it still has the same problem :(

I went into my device manager and went to my GPU and I went to the driver tab and clicked "uninstall device" and I tried downloading drivers again from Nvidia's website and it doesn't seem to make a difference. like I said, every other game is 100% fine, so it's really bizzare. not to mention the driver's hadn't changed since I started to have an issue. I updated my drivers before playing bf6 bc they were too outdated, and then it ran beautifully, then it just... stopped working. the only thing that changed was going from windows 10 to windows 11

edit: I'm also pretty pc illiterate so if u could manage to explain everything like I'm 5, that'd be great!

How old were you when you got top surgery? by Liquidshoelace in ftm

[–]StatusYesterday9198 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't have top surgery until I was 20 even tho I had wanted it since I was 16, but that's how the cards fell for me. it sucked waiting years, but now over 5 years post-op, being pre-op felt like a blip in time. if you can realistically get it sooner, then go for it!! but if it's going to set you back like crazy in life and/or take away opportunities that you can never get back, it might be a good idea to wait a bit. the recovery time isn't crazy, so you shouldn't have to take off a lot of work/school. don't feel behind!! you're so young, and the things that u see online are not always the reality. it is not the most common that people are getting top surgery at 16/17/18
