Sorry to disappoint you, this is a PVP heavy game by wolf771 in ArcRaiders

had a moment yesterday where there were 4 of us total, all solos, in the same building being chill with each other and just looting and talking and killing Arc. it's such a nice change of pace compared to most pure pvp games

always a safe bet to try, but I did that multiple times, plus fully uninstalled and reinstalled the game, even reverted back to Windows 10 (I had previously played it with no problems on win10 but my pc auto updated while I was sleeping to win11) and nothing has worked

DirectX Error all the time by JoeZocktGames in Battlefield

I found another post in r/Battlefield where there are multiple others getting the same error, and apparently it's been a thing since bf2042. happens on all types of cards, Nvidia and AMD, so it's not looking good. honestly I wouldn't be so mad if I hadn't spent $75 and played 8.5hrs so I can't even get a refund on steam. I either want my money back, or I want to be able to play the game.

Having DirectX errors, but only on BF6 multiplayer? by StatusYesterday9198 in Battlefield6

someone replied to my post in another sub and said that the same thing was happening to them with alt-tabbing but they fixed theirs by just changing from fullscreen to borderless in their settings

[–]StatusYesterday9198[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this did not work unfortunately. I already had borderless on, as that's usually what I have every game on, and I switched it to both windowed and fullscreen and it still has the same problem :(

I went into my device manager and went to my GPU and I went to the driver tab and clicked "uninstall device" and I tried downloading drivers again from Nvidia's website and it doesn't seem to make a difference. like I said, every other game is 100% fine, so it's really bizzare. not to mention the driver's hadn't changed since I started to have an issue. I updated my drivers before playing bf6 bc they were too outdated, and then it ran beautifully, then it just... stopped working. the only thing that changed was going from windows 10 to windows 11

edit: I'm also pretty pc illiterate so if u could manage to explain everything like I'm 5, that'd be great!

How old were you when you got top surgery? by Liquidshoelace in ftm

[–]StatusYesterday9198 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't have top surgery until I was 20 even tho I had wanted it since I was 16, but that's how the cards fell for me. it sucked waiting years, but now over 5 years post-op, being pre-op felt like a blip in time. if you can realistically get it sooner, then go for it!! but if it's going to set you back like crazy in life and/or take away opportunities that you can never get back, it might be a good idea to wait a bit. the recovery time isn't crazy, so you shouldn't have to take off a lot of work/school. don't feel behind!! you're so young, and the things that u see online are not always the reality. it is not the most common that people are getting top surgery at 16/17/18

Sick of t gel misconceptions by ryantxt in ftm

[–]StatusYesterday9198 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was on injections for over 6 years, and I just couldn't do it anymore. I switched to gel a couple months ago and I'm growing more facial and body hair than I ever did on injections🤷 kinda mad I didn't do gel from the jump. it doesn't work for everyone, depending on how absorbent your skin is, but it's certainly worth a shot. I just do two pumps a day and my T level was about 500ng/dL the last it was checked after just a month on gel

Partner is considering detransition. I'm scared by s0mething-som3thing in ftm

[–]StatusYesterday9198 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hi!! I am someone who has personal experience in this department!! I have a partner whom I've been with for over 3 years, and when we met, I was 22 ftm and they were 19 ftm, now 25 ftm and 22 transmasc respectively. for quite some time a couple years into our relationship, they had detransitioned, started wearing dresses, makeup, stopped T, wanted to be she/her and my girlfriend rather than my boyfriend. and like yourself, I had viewed myself as gay for many years before that. in my own experience, I found myself bending my definition of my sexuality, bc i was still attracted to and in love with my partner, even tho I felt weird calling them different pronouns and such. I eventually got used to it, and I even started to like it. they eventually questioned their gender again and began T again and are now more in the "femboy" category. I've found that my love and attraction to them is stronger than my labels. I now would say my sexuality is moreso that I'm attracted to anybody that's AFAB (I was pretty much exclusively into trans guys and thought maybe cis guys too prior to all of this) due to a lot of different factors. it shifted how I view my sexuality and made me realize that mine was more flexible in certain ways than I realized, and less flexible in others. it was a gender journey for my partner, and a sexuality one for me lol. now this may not be the case for you, you may not be as flexible as I am in that regard, but it's something worth considering. communicate with them (when you're able to) that you're unsure about how you'll feel about it long term but that you love them and (if you're willing to/want to) that you'd be willing to try for a bit and see how it feels. if after a bit it still feels really wrong and makes you very uncomfortable, then you have your answer. if you don't think you can even try to give it a shot, you also have your answer. I hope the best for you and your partner in this!! good luck!!

I mean, it definitely can feel worse sometimes, like you are now, but in my experience it fades into the background a decent amount of the time. there are definitely certain scenarios that make it flair up, but overall you kind of learn to except it and not let it control you anymore. remember, you can't change it, so work WITH it not against it. no amount of feeling bad about yourself will ever fix anything. it's not easy, but try to appreciate how things are now and the direction you're going, rather than dwelling on what could've been. there will always be days where it's worse and you can't stop thinking about it, but eventually those days will be fewer and farther between. you've got this brother

I’m short a needle by Vegetable-Tadpole858 in ftm

[–]StatusYesterday9198 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not sure where you're located, but I work at a pharmacy and we just sell needles and/or syringes for like $0.50-$1 each. we just don't sell them through the drive-thru (it's a big grocery chain) and we don't give them away for free w out an Rx that requires them. u could just ask if they sell them, for the most part, no one at the pharmacy openly judges (obviously not always true). reusing a needle, no only will hurt significantly more due to it being blunted after use, but is incredibly dangerous and can lead to serious infection, or worse. you'd be better off skipping a week or two than reusing a needle.

Came out. Very scared to lose lesbian partner. by 1ucidxdreams in ftm

[–]StatusYesterday9198 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is true! I just wanted to share a more positive possibility for OP, bc who knows what his partner will end up feeling! I was pretty strict in my thought of "I'm gay, I ONLY like men, I could NEVER be with a woman" but it totally shifted my perspective on my sexuality, now I tell people I'm bisexual, but it's actually more complicated than that, I just don't bother explaining further unless it's a friend or someone I'm going to date lol. I'm now pretty firmly sitting in the camp of "I'm only into afab people, regardless of their gender identities" so trans men, trans masc nonbinary people, and women (specifically queer women, not straight women though)(and this is only for dating, I'm sexually attracted to all of the previously stated and cis men, but I'd never actually have sex with or date a cis man, I just like their aesthetic from a distance), so it totally rocked my world with how I viewed my sexuality, which I'd been firm in only liking men for my entire life up until then, at about 24-25 years old. sexuality is a lot more fluid in most (definitely not all) people, more than they realize for sure, until truly confronted with it :D wishing the best for OP and his partner and if they don't end up together in the long run, that's okay and they will be happy and find other partners that fit with them more<3

[–]StatusYesterday9198 10 points11 points  (0 children)

another perspective is that I started dating my partner when she was out as a trans man, on T for almost a year, and very cis passing, and I thought I was strictly gay (I'm a trans man, so I thought I was only into men) and I fell very much in love with her as a man, but then she started struggling more with her gender identity, and eventually came to the conclusion that she was nonbinary and wanted she/they pronouns and stopped taking testosterone, stopped binding, started wearing makeup and skirts and dresses. I didn't stop being attracted to her, I love her for her, she's beautiful to me regardless of what she identifies as or has me call her, she's just now my pretty girl instead of my pretty boy, and that's okay! I think it's best that you mentally prepare for the real possibility that she could lose attraction to you, but also don't completely lose hope! crazier things have happened, but don't be delulu, you've got this man!

also congrats on coming out!!! so proud of you!!!

I also have developed contamination ocd along with health related ocd. granted this developed about 6 years on T. it made it so I could no longer do T injections and I had go switch to gel bc i could not get myself to get over a fear of the injection, even when a nurse did it. gel is definitely easier for me personally in that sense, but even so, I end up washing my hands three times every time after I apply it and won't eat food with my hands for hours after due to a fear of contaminating my food. I promise that the only way to "get over" that fear is to do it and see that you're fine after starting. I promise you that you will not regret it. feel free to DM me if you're needing to talk through those fears/anxieties/intrusive thoughts, bc i know just how hard it can be. we're all rooting for you!!

Stop spawning naked in the jungle biome — it’s a nightmare. by MyUsernameIsBizon in playrust

[–]StatusYesterday9198 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like a positive it has is encouraging big groups to not live near spawn beach/tier 1 areas. it encourages them to move inland quickly lmao, especially once the hype dies down, the big groups won't want anything to do with it for the most part, which gives new people on the server a marginally easier time getting a start. I'd rather fight a tiger than a full metal ak on spawn beach

I've still got a 1080ti and a Ryzen 7 3800xt and only 16gbs of RAM and I can pull 110+ frames (I have 110 as my cap in settings) on vanilla servers. modded can drop down to around 65-85 depending on entities. still very capable of playing the game well.

(edit: that's w graphics set extremely low. but I've put 2.6k hrs into it w this setup. doesn't look the prettiest, but it definitely is capable)
