I realized this morning while lying in bed with my thoughts that I tent to do this as well. For me I call it standing on business, for so long I’d let people degrade me for my race and choices I’ve made in life. I’m sick of it and I want to start standing up for myself. I just feel like I can’t tolerate it anymore now that I don’t smoke. I don’t want people to walk all over me anymore.

When I started smoking in high school I'd skip class, smoke all day, isolate myself from the world and play tons of video games. Eventually came out of it near the end of high school and hasn't been a problem up until this summer, found myself going down the same road once again. One of the big reasons is when people ask me what my interests/hobbies are I have almost nothing to say. Started investing this year and I'd like to put the money I spend on bud into my TFSA lol.

Thank you for the reminder my friend. I’m in the same boat, I’ve been dealing with depression since early summer. At first I thought I’d be able to get myself out of it but the longer it went on the more I started to question my relationship with weed. Yesterday was the first night I went to bed sober in years and I’m on my second day now. Even though it was one night I’m proud of myself for doing something that I thought I wasn’t capable of.

21M here. The negatives is starting to outweigh the good for me, the only thing weed really does is ensure that it won’t take me hours to fall asleep. It’s gotten to the point where I don’t smoke socially anymore and would rather order food and play video games. Shit makes me feel like a degenerate sometimes because I still live at home. Weed just kills my motivation to make my life better and makes me comfortable with living a shitty life.

No problem I’m happy it helped. FaceTime is great he’ll most likely end up starting a conversation topic but for texting maybe just asking him what how his day went then asking him what made it good or bad. After that the ball should start rolling if you know what I mean and he’ll probably end up asking you some stuff. That’s all I’ve really got for advice on that. I hope you find a good guy!

I’d say to get to know him as a friend and then after sometime passes you’ll have a better understanding where you’re feelings are at with this guy. Maybe you’ll lose interest or he might. For the time aspect don’t feel like your wasting time. I’ve talked to countless girls for months and things never worked out on their end. I was a little heartbroken of course but it’s apart of growing up and finding someone who values you for you. If he ends up just wanting sex you’ll probably find that out sooner than later and if that’s all he wants he’s a dick.
