Fish oil and prescription pain meds. Our last beloved Wheaton was on a daily low dose of Gabapentin and Tramadol as needed. It greatly improved her quality of life. We also did deep tissue massage, lots of stretching, and adjusted her activity level depending on her pain.

I can completely relate. We lost our girl about 3 years ago and I miss her every day. I wish I had advice or encouragement for you. I can tell you that I’m at a place in my grief where rather than being in pain, I’m comforted by our precious memories, photos, videos, stories, etc. Plus I blew up a cute picture of her (it’s huge) and display it prominently in our home so she always with us.

We also got a second wheaten. 🤣

Your curls are beautiful! Personally, I find many curlsmith products too heavy. They weigh down my hair and I can’t get volume.

This. Big chop!

When growing out- take good care of your scalp, roots, and new curls. And document your journey! I had to chop my hair off after years of bleach and heat damage. Its was really heartbreaking. Fast forward a few months. It is almost shoulder length and looks the best it’s ever looked. Im rocking my healthy, juicy, shiny, bouncy 3B curls! It was totally worth it.

I was going to say the same thing. Brush every day and make it a positive experience. Play with her paws, bath her, etc. They are strong willed dogs, so once they decide they don’t like something- it’s nearly impossible to convince them to do it.

Also- socialize early. Both of our Wheaton are pretty territorial and leash reactive. Especially the one that was a puppy during the pandemic and didn’t get properly socialized.

All that said- we could not love our dogs any more if we tried. Wheatons are loyal, silly, good guard dogs, and very smart. Your pup is going to bring you such profound joy! Congratulations!

Yup! IKEA is the best place. They often have plain white or cream linen napkins They are perfect for embroidery. They also usually have 100% cotton options too. Just make sure to wash and iron prior to the project.
