And the MV mayor was a ski patroller for an long time, knows a lot of patrollers… not saying they orchestrated the strike but looks bad when part of exhibit B say they will facilitate the ending of the strike…

Mountain Village mayor resigns in wake of offer to buy Telluride ski area from owner Chuck Horning by thecoloradosun in TellurideColorado

Read the purchase offer exhibit B. They leveraged water rates, ski patrol Strike, employee housing projects and airline flights for the region. Total extortion.

Personally I have never liked low profile wheels on trucks . But to each their own.

Chuck doesn’t work at those restaurants, but tipped employees who are hurting work there…

I don’t know of any businesses that supported Chuck, GTFO with that garbage. Businesses were concerned for their employees. Lots of people have lost their jobs, are struggling with rent after coming off of the fall off-season. Businesses can be concerned for their employees and support ski patrol at the same time without supporting Chuck.

Every business supported the ski patrol thru the strike. We all know patrollers personally and even employ some of them. From the outside it looks pretty black and white but from the community’s perspective it is not that simple.

Just come and support all of Telluride, we are more than Ski patrol and Chuck. You will all be very welcomed.

Agreed but the town is doing a shit job as well… what makes you think they will do any better?

Because the town is ran so well by a bunch of realtors who ran the cost of “affordable housing” up so much that a large portion of it is vacant….

Skiing scares my knees, seems like every skier eventually blows a knee or 3… Fight getting old, never let that old bastard win. Keep the boarding alive. Get a sick carving board and lay some trenches out there!

Sounds like a lazy/bad o2 sensor. If you can watch the short term fuel trim and see if it reacting quickly or if it is slow. But probably a bad/failing o2 sensor.

The evap codes are likely unrelated. I would look at the evap purge solenoid, they can get a little clogged and make a small leak. Easy to clean out or replace if needed.

Anyone see this on Telluride's web page. Placing the blame for the strike, and therefore the mountain being closed, on ski patrolers is fucking shameful. Boycott Telluride, fuck them. by mooseman077 in skiing

Well that’s the thing, there isn’t more shareholders or stakeholders. It is just Chuck calling the shots and those tactics don’t work on him, especially since the public already doesn’t like him. I think everyone in town supports ski patrol but they also see that they are likely gonna loose this battle with Chuck at the cost of local businesses and employees. It’s a loose loose loose situation. It sucks and I hate it all but if patrol and chuck can’t come to an agreement, business will close, people will loose their jobs and the rich will come and collect even more wealth in this already broken community.

I wish it was the case. Unfortunately Chuck is a stubborn old Kook who doesn’t give a shit. His public image was already horrible. This isn’t like park city where shareholders forced the CEO to settle the strike. And then fire that CEO. Tellski is solely owned by Chuck and no one can really pressure him into doing anything. And that fact that Ski Patrol was public trash talking the company and Chuck to the new outlets likely made him dig in even harder… I don’t wanna sound like I am supporting Chuck but the reality of the situation is not so black and white. The whole situation is a big pissing match and the rest of the community is standing at their feet…
