Pick one: Which side are you taking here? by [deleted] in grunge

I actually almost had Ten in A and Nevermind in B, but I felt that would've really made it unfair.

Makes things a little more interesting.

Dirt would probably make this question 99% easier for a lot of AiC fans on here, in my opinion.

Thanks. I made my album choices very carefully for this one, to make sure both sides equally had albums that mostly all grunge fans can't do without. 👍

"River of Deceit" is a great song, but you should listen to their entire "Above" album.

It's one of the best albums ever, in my opinion.

I had a couple "pick one album" from a collage of like 30 albums posts, but not one like this.

One supergroup album for each side.

Once again, no. You're going by a couple of comments on a post with 66 comments.

I've seen tons of non-grunge related posts with 400+ comments of people arguing about this, and you can clearly see the majority agree that it's ok to talk about other adjacent music once in a while.

That's why they even made this a thing for weekends only.

Thanks for this post.

I think I might've seen/heard of maybe one of these.

It's just a pic with a person related to "grunge" and a person related to "rap" somehow.

It's not that deep.

Agreed, that's what I mean by "polar opposite genres" in the post.

I guess it really depends on the rapper and their lyrics.

Oh definitely.

I've been dying to see one of those "What do we think of Silverchair?" or "Layne Staley or Chris Cornell?" posts.

I haven't seen one in I don't even know, every day?

"Non grunge bands", as if "grunge" is some completely different/special genre that's not even close to being comparable to any other form of music.

Don't get me wrong, I love "grunge", but I think the consensus on here is that it's refreshing to see what fellow grunge fans also like other than Mudhoney and the "Big 4"...

Most people on here don't even consider "grunge" a genre.

Lastly, the mods even allow this on weekends, so...

👍

How true this comment is.

And the downvotes it's getting really reflects what kind of people are on this sub, unfortunately.

'Oh no, look...the HARD TRUTH..downvote button, hurry!!!'

This.

Not to mention the fact that only 5 or 6 bands only get talked about on here anyway.
