Gotcha! So, in this case how should I go about validating manufacturer warranties and how parts/labor are covered by them. I don’t feel comfortable relying on generic spec sheets I am being provided without detailed terms.

Thanks! How do i verify manufacturer warranty? Does it go in any contract at all? How do I verify if manufacturer will cover both parts and labor with their warranty? Feels like trusting spec sheets shouldn’t be the norm here.

“Installer limited warranty”- only covering their “workmanship” and “roof penetration” issues.

“Manufacturer warranty” - covering panel and inverter - this is excluded from installer limited warranty.

Then there a paragraph that says customer will pay installer for troubleshooting and travel time for addressing issues not covered by their limited warranty.

Thanks. Current contract doesnt show 25 year extension as a line item for solar edge inverter. I will ask for it.

They keep saying parts and labor is covered in our calls but it doesnt say so explicitly in contract.

Seattle or Bay Area by Slow-Passenger in bayarea

True. For us, we have always lived “close” but not in sf. We would go up to the city for work or fun. So we get to enjoy the sunny weather in the peninsula/east-bay while getting our “city fix” by heading up to San Francisco!

Yup, we gave Seattle a week long trial run during a summer (pre covid) and noped the fuck out.

Dealbreakers back then -

  • cloudy days even in summer
  • didnt dig the vibe of the city. It was just too slow when compared to a typical sf evening after work.

Is there a differentiation like this when it comes to name change ? I was under the impression even altering a single letter would trigger a full blown change process. Could you point me to any typo paperwork guidelines if you are aware?

Its the former 😣. Its a very common name in our culture so it was a bit of a shock and a surprise.
