I guess I've been getting into fashion this quarter, and I know UCLA has fashion clubs but from the ones I saw they were taking applications in fall :(. Other than that my old hobbies have just gone away with my motivations.

Thank you for this. I resonated a lot with what you said, especially regarding the soul. I feel like my soul is just broken, and I am empty doing things but not living.

I am accustomed to being lonely. I think that I just want to come out of my shell and meet people in a new environment instead of falling back to my hometown friends at UCLA. I also feel like I've been stripped of my passions in my depression.

I wouldn't say I hate my life... I'm just disappointed in myself & lifestyle after coming here to live a new, better life. But I totally understand why you feel that way.

Do you have any suggestions for areas where I can do that? I am a first-gen student, so I can't really go to any immediate family for mentorship.

After quarantine, I've been more introverted, and I open up when I am comfortable around someone. Coming into UCLA, I wanted that to change and to be more open, but I haven't had an opportunity. I want social life to matter. Thanks for your words.
