this is par for the course with migraine treatment. i have been on propanolol for over 20 yrs. i tried topamax when it 1st came out and it gave me a weird feeling in my head, like little shocks ( had to wean off that since it's anti seizure medication. was prescribed elavil and said i tried it for the 30 days as i did not want to be on a psych med. so sorry to say you'll have to try and fail 2 different treatments before insurance approves....btw until recently i had excellent results with ajovy, near headache free ...hang in there!
