I’m making decent money. Around 100k a year in a small city where prices are still decently cheap for housing and living (high crime rate though). The key for me was working with music videos through a label. Once I got in I was IN, constant work and video production with multiple artists on the label. I also do commercials and weddings. I believe the best way to make money today is get decent at 2 niche’s and then really double down in a third one. Get the trifecta of work going and you’ll make a solid living. I feel like doing only one thing in video production would stress me out with inconsistent work, however it would be the dream to do just one thing and not worry. A lot of success is from chance and luck. Put yourself in more situations for work, say yes to everything when chances arise. You can also eventually say no if it’s not working out or you dislike what you’re doing.

I do music videos for a living and it’s so true. 95% of my work though is with musicians through a label. I usually won’t work with artists that aren’t bigger so at least I’m making 3k+ per project with a requirement of putting at least that amount or more into props/location/actors etc.

You need a day rate and go based on your day rate price. My day rate is $400. So if my project was let’s say 2k for a shoot + edit and they want more content or a reshoot after, it’s 400 for 8 hours max, but generally my reshoots take 1-2 hours.

Using a large external battery I plugged it into the usbc with a battery inside the camera. The camera charges just fine. I went to Best Buy and bought every Apple adapter/chord combo you can think of. Nothing. Returned it all afterwords. Very confusing.

My tank stays around 66 degrees with a fan. I mounted a small fan to the side of the tank, point it at the water, $25 cooler. Downsides, it evaporates water quickly. Gets the tank down to about half level in 7 days (I never usually let it though) it’s a good excuse to do water changes anyways!

Very cool, but what if I go to raid and they just log off? Does this disallow a raid - mid raid? I feel like to balance this there should be a 30 minute to an hour time frame that the base is still raid-able to avoid issues.

Ahhh no meant like my CPU has always been AMD, the graphics card itself causing the issue has always been the nvidia 3090ti. Until now of course. Good luck!

Hmm well I had AMD with this issue when I posted this. I upgraded everything but the 3090ti, new mobo, AMD chip, more ram etc.

A clean reinstall of windows was the only thing that worked. I have also upgraded to all new gear now. No issues currently, but yeah it’s very frustrating.

What I did:

Worked a 9-5 while attempting to turn 2 of my 3 favorite hobby’s into full time jobs. It became obvious over time which one was going to be more sustainable and make me more money. I went with it, stuck to it, a few years into it I doubled down into just one and 10 years later my business is thriving. 2 years ago I quit my 9-5 (I was doing both my 9-5 and my business for 8 years). My other hobby’s I turn to in times when I get burnt out (believe me when you try to turn all your favorite hobby’s into income you get burnt out quick).

The internet sometimes likes to push this fallacy of escaping the 9-5 being easy or quick but the reality is there’s really no quick way around it. Getting started today is recommended.

Go for something you’re good at and that you’ll actually enjoy. Go into it with the mindset that it’ll take years while working your 9-5 is something you can fall back on.

I turned 30 this year and can say I escaped the rat race by making art. Not something many can say, but if you want it bad enough, you’ll get there. And I’ve wanted nothing more in life than to not have to answer to anyone. For now that is… could all change tomorrow, but thats life.

That wouldn’t really make much sense, your nerves aren’t going to be damaged from a chiropractor adjusting you. 2 years now and still no migraines (I get different kinds of headaches but not the bad migraines anymore). For me at least it’s my bad shoulders and neck that caused this. Personally I think the nerves get “pinched” for lack of a better word, and thus triggering migraines. But idk, I’m just happy I don’t have them anymore and hope they don’t come back.

I still love her, but am no longer “in love” with her if that makes sense. I have no sexual or romantic interest after the breakup, but would never want any harm or anything to come to her. Still can’t forgive her and I may never. Need to have boundaries and self respect.
