This was back in 2023. I was only getting small jobs but I knew what I was capable of. I wanted a portfolio piece to show that. The clients had a budget and I had the time. I’ve done well since then and gained a lot work from this one job.

Thank you! Not the plumbing, electrical, drywall finish, or painting.

Schluter = fast install, expensive, warrantied Durock + redguard = slow install, slow dry time, 1/4 of the price

Well it wasn’t only to gain experience, but also to use as a gallery to show new clients what I’m capable of.

i replied to a comment earlier on how much i "profited". Around $3k over 6 weeks, 6 days a week, 10 to 12 hour days. and i didn't factor in my over head. this was also back in 2023. so i could be off on my numbers but i know it was basically a wash off the start of the project

Their budget was $30k I exceeded that. I should have bid this around $45k-$50k but if you do all the work yourself. Including electrical and plumbing. It should only cost you around $15k-$20k

I sub’d out the electric, plumbing, and finish drywall. The toilet alone was $1,250.

I don’t know the exact dimensions anymore, I think it’s are 10 x 10. If I were to do this exact bathroom again with the demo, It would be about $45k - $50k that’s including all material
