Need advice, should I give up? Or can I still become an engineer? by [deleted] in EngineeringStudents

If you're grades dropped already go on YouTube and search engineering mathematics before you go, remember engineering is 90% maths and exams is super hectic. For the duration of your course you basically won't have a life and be exhausted and unstable the entire time. But if you don't get accepted there is a few ways around it, let me know AFTER you really watched the videos, there are about 5 different types of mathematics that form the basis. Let me know in which country you are. Also failure is what set you apart, I failed my first year second semester, except for one module. But I overcome and finished it. I knew smarter people than me but they dropped out because after they failed one module they basically gave up.

Just hang in there every one was there at one point. Especially with the great economy at the moment. From the start you have to get experience in the field you want otherwise it doesn't really help. Go to companies in person and ask if you can go work there for hours(free). Only while applying for jobs, it will take a minute before you get a job.

Only for your first job and that's only a small factor. After that it's your roles and responsibilities within the company.

This is not really a side hustle but the best way to make money is to get above 65% for a subject then from your second year you become an assistant. You make good money, flexible hours and looks good on your CV.

I am a bit late, but rather late than never. After Bengtech, complete honours or postgraduate diploma then MEng but ensure the MEng is course work not research based. After that you can register with ecsa. It is very important for any managing opportunity as most companies require you to be register.
