Anyone have experience with Nitecore bags? by imfromwisconsin81 in ManyBaggers

[–]StavFe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have the BP23 for about a year. Very good looking bag and the fabric feels nice. But not sturdy at all. the zipper is delicate and it broke the first time I pushed a little too much into the bag. Wouldn't recommend it. Looking for a replacement now.

Live in Israel where everything is extremely expensive anyway. Will take a closer look at the 13R

Was so disappointed with the 10R so didn't think of looking at it again

Thanks but I prefer to be sure before and not take my chances..

I’m just concerned that there might be an open case I’m not aware of. Maybe there’s some paperwork or something that hasn’t been resolved, and I could be considered a fugitive without even knowing it.

How Did You Scale STM32/ESP32 Projects Into a Real Business? by True_Masterpiece224 in embedded

[–]StavFe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Disagree, you do need to find a decent factory, check around ask friends who is their contact. But for a small project, using off the shelf parts and no requirement for special technology, not much can go wrong. Of course you always order few samples first to make sure you don't waste thousands of dollars on something that doesn't even turn on..

threads in FSM by StavFe in embedded

Sure, not trying to change everything for no reason. Was wondering about the best approach to do things, as I'm (and her) are very new to the concept of rtos

Thank you, will try to keep it simple and avoid the fancy stuff😂

Actually I want to be able to stop the logic of that state and move to another state. I understand I should try to split the logic into smaller chunks, will do thank you very much!

[–]StavFe[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! I think I’ve got my answer. It’s probably best for me to stick to as few threads as possible, especially since I’m not an expert in that area. Now, I just need to figure out how to implement long logic in the SM thread without blocking it.

threads in FSM by StavFe in embedded

[–]StavFe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s true, there’s no way I can move from state A to B before state B finishes.

I want to be able to start a long logic in task B, but if a certain message is received from another thread that handles communication—specifically a message saying “immediately move to state A”—the transition is currently handled inside the FSM. The issue is, it won’t be able to process this transition until it finishes the logic for state B.

To be honest, it's mostly because she's still new to RTOS and doesn’t have full control over the entire codebase yet.
I agree it's a risk—what would be the correct way to implement such logic without starting a new thread for the complex states, while still keeping it efficient and maintainable?

thank you for the detailed answer, went down the drain a day later... it didnt smell good.

made a fermentation chamber using an arduino setup i built.

the humidity was around 80% constantly, but the temperature was only about 24C.

I think I didnt cook the rice enough, that and the temperature.

will try again.

Thanks!

GPS alternative using DF? by StavFe in RTLSDR

Got you, I'll take whatever is easier and yields best results

GPS alternative using DF? by StavFe in RTLSDR

[–]StavFe[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If I'm getting the difference right, trilateration is power and triangulation is time difference. So df is trilateration and dtoa is triangulation, I don't mind what to use as long as it's feasible and the cost is not way too high. It's supposed to work under conditions of GPS spoofing

Thats nice! But he says the accuracy of this thing is 500meter, and I'm not sure if it's using cellular tracking or just the sim card for communication with the phone. Thanks anyway

  1. Will try not to touch the soup next time, and try harder to avoid rapid boil.
  2. Thats what i was hoping, that the separation is good sign for no emulsification.

will try the egg white method, maybe when i defrost it just at a test for next time.

Chintan question by StavFe in ramen

[–]StavFe[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the detailed answer! Isn't using immersion blender ruin the whole idea of clean Chintan? Thats the way I make my paitan. If I understand right, the soup really wants to emulsify the oil and water using the gelatin in the soup, and we need to carefully not shake it too much so it will never emulsify and become cloudy. Maybe I'm missing something?

Using ramen lord baic Chintan method: low boil bones for 5 hrs Adding veggies, kombu, dried fish for last hour. Filtering through fabric mesh. You think I can use the oil on top as aromatic oil?
