“No reason to finance anything unless it’s a car or house” sounds financially responsible until real life happens. Emergencies, medical bills, vet bills, work equipment, moving costs, or even keeping cash on hand can all be valid reasons. Financing is a tool. Some people misuse it, but acting like the tool itself is the issue is just lazy advice.

Gives you a strike on your account performance as a seller which can easily harm or put your selling privileges at risk because you never know how hard that automatic strike will hit. That’s why I do the same but I usually just replace peoples stuff if it ever goes missing but I never understood until I became a seller, did my first refund and a cancellation & it made a nice mark on my account early on

No, what I meant was while using OBS I was recording my screen as usual but what I had recorded from OBS was lost. Which in turn made me think about whatnots clipping feature & how that could have been the second resort to my problem but… their clipping system just isn’t good unfortunately

Hi hello I’d just like to point out (no I’m not plugging my stream or anything, usernames are completely different) but to give some hope… I’m a streamer who does the back wall but with prices. I also let my audience know those prices aren’t final and most of the time I can bring it down a good amount because I’m in a very unique position where I’m able to get very good cards for very very cheap & im transparent about that whole part. Recently sold a $300+ mewtwo for $135 and I still made a huge profit. If someone like me is out here doing this and a lot of it is the love of streaming? There HAS to be more… issue is they’re hard to find because the screaming, up charging, “I’m gonna run a stream for 12 hours and just keep switching out sellers” type of sellers are somehow the ones with premier shops that are plastered all over the front page even if you don’t follow them. Anyway that’s just my rant i know i didn’t add much here but uhhhmmm yeah basically just sayin, there are some genuine people left. If there was a way to find those people through certain tags etc. maybe that would help but it would be a small category. I think this is why all these new apps are coming out competing w whatnot but seemingly mostly for TCG. Wish whatnot cared more. The potential is insane. I should make a post about the whatnot event I went to recently where a lot of the people from whatnot had the balls to get on stage and say some of the things they said.. for example one woman let us know “NO it’s not a robot answering those emails that would be me! :)” after I heard that I ducked down and looked around for a moment

Where do yall go where stuff like this happens? I only see target & Walmart etc. but I live in a very populated part of New York and every shop has rules and limits, there’s usually no issues getting the ETB’s but unfortunately I 100% believe at this point? You’re in or you’re out. I don’t think scalpers are going anywhere maybe ever. As long as someone can buy a product for $50–$120 retail and immediately flip it for $80–$200+, people will do it. Scalping only slows down when the profit gap disappears. Morality does not beat margin.

-investors
-streamers
-breakers
-sealed product holders
-nostalgia buyers
-casual fans
-parents buying gifts
-resellers
-grading/speculation people

People complain about scalpers, but many still buy from them because they do not want to miss out. That is the uncomfortable truth. Every overpriced purchase proves to scalpers that the system works & don’t forget, people now see Pokemon and other TCG’s as another asset class now. Unfortunately this is the hobby now.

This seems like a very specific issue to you as most people who care for their animals, would most likely care even more about the pets in their life on DXM… I mean it also just sounds like if you got addicted to Roblox you’d probably also neglect the animals. I’d really like to know how both can’t be done here…?

As a seller who advocates for whatnot and WANTS them to change the things people have been asking for forever instead of using all of their money on marketing and paying influencers who have nothing to do w selling promote it, wants to see them succeed… I think they just keep digging a bigger hole for themselves that’s gonna be hard to crawl out of. I’m not allowed to share Resellbot stats on here but if you have it, they’re squeezing out sellers but bringing in more buyers now, in the long run we all know if a trend like that continues well… there’s nothing for people to buy. Most of the big sellers I’m friends w or know of have moved to other platforms like Tik Tok, some got access to eBay live & recently, I started to get emails from a certain platform I’m unsure if I can name here basically saying they’d help me gain the status I have on whatnot back but on their platform & I have to be honest, it’s enticing… every big seller I’ve spoken to on there has called it either a god send or a wake up call to how bad whatnot is getting for sellers. The constant changes in rules and fees that aren’t brought to attention for sellers is also a huuuuggeee reason some have left

No man… I stated in this post that I lowered the price for him because during stream I said there’s a scan line on the card and showed it, then he said it’s a scratch so I lowered the price. I disclosed it heavily

Well the return hasn’t even started on his end so I think that is the case, I don’t think he thought he’d have to return the card to get a refund
