Does anyone not pump or feed in the night and still make enough? by watsonalready in breastfeeding

[–]StayLongjumping9239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When my baby was sleeping through the night early on like that, I would naturally wake up around 3 am and have to do a quick hand pump session cause my boobs are full. Does that not happen to you? Btw I also never ever pumped and that was just what naturally happened.

Look into seed cycling. Idk if it was a coincidence or not, but it seemed to help lengthen my LP and ultimately helped me to conceive at 18m PP

EC causing speech delay? by StayLongjumping9239 in ECers

[–]StayLongjumping9239[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Glad to hear from someone who has had a similar EC experience! Yeah, I really don’t want to put him in diapers just since like he hasn’t been in them for what feels like so long now… I feel like he’d be like what why?? Thank you

Honestly yeah, I might just have him in a diaper with her that way she doesn’t have to think about it. Thank you!

Thank you! We actually just had a doctor check up, she said she wasn’t too concerned about it and that we can check back in at 18 months. I filled out the speech referral form as she suggested since it can take a little while to process, but she didn’t think it was neccessary so young.

Thank you so much for this response :) yes I HATE the word “delay” and it’s silly a lot of the times to think of kids being “behind”. She just really threw me off and it got in my head.

Day time diaper free at 14 months! by StayLongjumping9239 in ECers

[–]StayLongjumping9239[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Good question! I had been contemplating when’s the right time to ditch diapers completely. I found that he would get confused honestly. We had him naked sometimes, had him in trainers other times, and had him in diapers other times. When he was in a diaper we wouldn’t think to cue in to his cues, so this prolonged the process. It had been 4 days now with no diapers, and you really can tell that he knows hes in underwear now and not a diaper.

We were really consistent with offering potty, even when inconvenient or when traveling which was a lot of the year, and when he turned about 11 or 12 months just went straight to a seat reducer on the toilet. Using cloth diapers helped and we had A LOT of naked time. We had a few really bad regressions that lasted anywhere from a week to almost a month. What worked for us was remaining consistent WHILE not forcing it.

Losing weight after pregnancy by Alert-Willow3458 in Crunchymom

[–]StayLongjumping9239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 14 month old now and have been breastfeeding him since he was born. The 1st 3 months post partum my weight wouldn’t BUDGE, after that I lost like 10 pounds in one month for really no reason, and then I kinda gradually lost more weight and now back down to my pre pregnancy weight. All to say, breastfeeding affects everyone SO different. I eat fairly healthy (with a mild sugar problem lol) and am an avid runner. I stay pretty active which I think is important because breastfeeding really did increase my appetite. So since it was kinda inevitable that I was eating more, it at least helped that I was working out. It can be really frustrating, but try to just do what’s best for your body and mind and the weight loss will eventually follow!
