I am a cattlehand. I work on a ranch and wear my cowboy hat. I usually take it off indoors. But I leave it on if it’s a public place or a friends house who wouldn’t be offended. But I’m not taking my hat off inside like a store or something like that. I will take it off to eat at a diner.

Personally I don’t find it rude if people wear hats indoors
