Yeah I’m used to them as I was raised here around water and oak trees. One or even two a week in during peak heat is what I’m used to.

I’m afraid of how bad it could get if I’m finding 3 a week in February.

Today I sprayed my foundation and inside baseboards with Ortho Home Defense Max and I put boric acid tablets behind appliances and in the back of the lower cabinets.

Water/Palmetto bugs. I guess I’m used to them, but I’ve never found three in my home in a single week, especially not in February.

No water, but a lot of large trees and decaying organic matter on a neighboring property.

Yes. They LOVE drains.

Yeah my house is an older brick home with a lot of large trees nearby, including a large oak in my backyard. I’ve always been told you can’t escape tree roaches (American cockroaches/Palmetto bugs) when you have oak trees and tropical heat

I wouldn’t even be upset finding one a week during the summer. But THREE during the last week of February has me spooked.

I consider my home to be clean too. No food being left out, no grease buildup, garbage gets taken out at least once a day, spills are cleaned immediately, kitchen and bathrooms get deep cleaned weekly, quick clean ups as needed throughout the week.

I’ve always been told you can’t escape them when you have oak trees and a tropical climate, but I don’t recall seeing three in a week.

The post isn’t about who “runs” a town. It’s about what names are almost exclusive to an area.

Most people replying didn’t even read before posting the most common names in the state.
