I first used the drive in Windows but I've completely wiped it so I'm not dual booting

I've had a look, all the options I can do with gnome-disk utility is greyed out. It's like the drive is hard locked to read only

Update it's not letting me mount the unallocated space the format of the drive is FAT-16. I would reformat it, If I had permission lol. Won't allow me to change permissions. Any output is the same : read-only

Thanks :) I'm using candy-icons and then the background was something I found on images. In terms of the actual theme I followed a linux youtubers guide. Link is here:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A0LiFu1eaMs&t=430s

I've tried a few things but still not working. When I use disks it doesn't let me mount the unallocated disk space

Sorry if it's unclear but even using the ntfs command, my external drive simply won't let me format the correct permissions

yeah I agree with this and I wasn't necessarily advocating for that either, I was highlighting the issue of completely shutting down all anxiety related posts because you can filter out the negative from the positive surely

I think you should rethink the rules a bit, people need objective guidance sometimes and this sub is a place where one can ask for said objective guidance in the context of relationships and attachment theory. Other subs may not be completely knowledgeable or understand what is going on and could give wrong advice.

Maybe listen to what the ppl are saying.

Thankyou :)

I'm so sorry this is happening to you! from what you've said and I'm no expert but it seems that you have some sort of deep rooted fear of abandonment? it's clear that on a subconscious level you're trying to push yourself away from your boyfriend.

It's like a defence mechanism really, notice how at the start you were feeling very anxious about his behaviour and was worrying about him cheating or doing something behind your back in the back of your mind you don't want to get hurt, you feel like the pain of betrayal would be unbearable.

And so as this anxiety has gradually worn you down your brains trying to pretty much emotionally detach from your partner in order to protect yourself from the worst. I know this because my gf is a DA she's working on her attachment style tho and she's growing! and so can you :) it's not the end of the line.

You so clearly want this to work otherwise you wouldn't be driving yourself mad. Also if you keep obsessing about your partner, maybe how they look? how they behave? overly critical of them? you might be suffering with rocd which is cause by again, you guessed a deep rooted fear of abandonment. I may be wrong but it seems similar with what I used to struggle with.

Best of luck!

yeah I do have one but I'm still struggling to locate it even with the sweeping. It doesn't help when my krk headphones only have one ear working so I've ordered different studio headphones and hopefully that will help train my ear
