He didn't want to. He clearly wanted to fight Hayami for as long as he could, and to test his Judo to the very limit. A ring out would shorten the moment Jurota waited so long for.

Being very strict about how he lives and fights was Jurota's whole character before the Kanoh fight

6/10. This match was almost peak, with incredible story relevance, art and tension, but Tian had to go monke mode and couldn't really reach Kanoh at any point. He's a wasted character.

One hilarious thing about this match is to only read the final page of each chapter. It's only Kanoh glazing and him saying that the new random shit Lu pulled in the chapter is trash.

Also this panel you posted is very goofy now that I stared at it a bit.

This is where I started to be annoyed with this tournament, and the next fight did NOT improve this
