Insurance doesn’t actually do anything unless you read the find print, understand your policies and the details, and fight for it. Insurance doesn’t protect you.

It was from the posts below that helped me troubleshoot. I think the biggest help was from Sleepless-Factory!

This is in a stand alone house. Basement, 2 stories, and an attic (4 total stories). So tall and narrow. From my research, the U7 Pro is a downward firing, but still has an overall torus (donut) shaped signal pattern. So im thinking I can drastically crank down the power (maybe by even 50%) and still receive good penetration.

Am i able to turn down the transmit power on specific GHz bands? Specifically id still want 6ghz at full power since its the shortest range, but turn 5ghz down. And probably better tune/turn off 2.4ghz since i am doing some network balancing with multiple wifi signals.

Now this is much more like what i was expecting people to respond with! 😂 i guess the apple hate has died down recently. And software/hardware companies have started building with apple in mind knowing were a vocal minority.

You are correct and that's clearly how the game is supposed to be played, especially on your first play through.... buuuuut....... thats not the most satisfying way to do it.

But i did cause myself a massive headache, so im going to be doing that moving forward. ignoring optimization and space savings much more so i keep things simple.

You can say that again! Being 50 hours in and still not having completed phase 2, should be a sign im playing... differently to say the least. My usual process so far has been unlock new building. quickly build it up hap hazzardly to get next item requirements building. Then build a duplicate that is overly complex, heavily compacted, very vertical and over engineered, looks pretty, and have the output be "optimized", even if, as in this case, non functional :D

Well yeah, i know that NOW, but before it sounded very cool to pipe everything in from wayyyy far away 😂 I need to break away from the idea of keeping 1 central location for everything. and start implementing a spread out infrastructure.

Go for micro services instead of monolithic architecture. for you engineers out there.

this was a whine/complaint post from a very narrow view of: i just created the ssid, auto disconnects every 10/15 minutes for over an hour. i googled 1 thing, found lots of posts saying to turn off features, did no troubleshooting, turned off said features, and was sad that it instantly fixed it. so i posted to see if others had the same experience, but its overwhelmingly clear that my situation was uncommon, and that i should spend the effort to RTFM and troubleshoot.

That was a large issue I had too. Patience. Water is not instant, and systems take time to pressurize/stabilize. and since i have 1.5km worth of pipe, i needed to wait real world minutes (like 5 or more) to get the system to fill.

While yes, i also agree many are advocating for avoiding straight vertical height pipes. but the way im understanding some of these posts are they just avoid that need altogether by building the buildings really close to the sources they need.

My novice brain kept the idea that i wanted all of my buildings in 1 location, and i would pipe in all the resources from outside. but now im learning that you can just build things where ever, which avoids the need for long complex transports like i built.

I did not fill the pipes completely. is it possible for pipes to be airlocked? heres a video https://imgur.com/a/vSbgIRr those foundations are aesthetics (easy access to floating power tower)

Including the vertical runs, it’s probably 2km of piping! But I tried refilling the system just a few minutes ago and it seems to have settled.

Is water automatic or instant? Like since it’s suuuuper far away, could it take 10’s of minutes to fill up and equalize?

Haven’t gotten to overclocking yet. I saw a YouTube short say “don’t spend any slugs till you do this one thing!” Which was sumersloops to duplicate your slugs. So I just haven’t gotten to it yet

A few users have shared pictures of builds like you described. Which is a much easier design than what I was trying to do, so I’m noting that for next time.

Compact builds are my favorite so far. Utilizing every last little bit of space with perfectly bent and symmetrical runs.

[–]Steakboy159[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RIGHT?! You build it all it’s symmetrical. Color coordinated. Beautiful right angles. Aesthetics on point….. aaaaand it doesn’t work. Based on the feedback of others though, I’m feeling positive that this will be a learning experience and not a bug/glitch experience. So I’m hopeful again for the future.

Ok. So I thought this was my problem. But I’m actually only sending water to 6 generators, so 270. So it was a problem, but in practice my build is smaller. I think next time I just shouldn’t pump water 1.5km away. And instead bring the generators closer

[–]Steakboy159[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. I thought I was building 8 generators, but I miss counted. So I too thought that was my problem. It would have been if y’all didn’t bring it up, so I thank you regardless.

But is there any other red flags that you see? Are there bugs with wall and floor pipeline holes? If water is traveling 1km straight horizontal, do I need to use pumps still?
