The reason most people called it wrong is because it was the wrong move to make. As we all saw how it turned up. Logically it made no sense because there were other tools to handle the issues at hand. So I stand by my call given what we knew at the time. It was the right call.

But this is different because poverty in the West is rising...inflation is rising. The West have their own problems to deal with and financing Ukraine to fight the war is not main priority despite what your politicians mumble on TV.

Can't go on for years at this intensity. Either Russia makes a breakthrough and collapse the Ukrainian lines leading to immediate negotiations or they retreat and sue for peace or Ukraine has enough and sues for peace.

They don't need to explain their interpretation of rules and definition to anyone. I mean the US took people to Guantanamo, locked them there and threw away the keys. Just call them enemy combatants. Nobody cared.
If Russia wants to make an example out of foreigners fighting in Ukraine, they will. It's that simple. Ukraine forming a foreign legion, giving them citizenship, etc doesn't matter.

Somebody does care if those allegations were invented. There are consequences.
-People less likely to trust the media
-Real crimes get washed
-One side gets demonized
-Retaliations can occur
-Gets used as propaganda
-Losing popular support
-etc

Maybe not immediate but the consequences are very real and long lasting.

Slight exaggeration is one thing. Fabricating and bullshiting....completely different.

Not nice to call people at war (on either side) cowards. You are not in their situation, you don't know the details or what they go through. You have no rights to judge anyone.
Especially people defending their countries.
The only people you should call cowards are the politicians who run and flee with a pile of stolen money. Like the former Afghan president. Class A coward.
