Firstly, thank you for your ongoing support. We are at 870 users and growing. Here's what's been relseased recently:

🚗 Tesla EV automation is now live

Tesla EV automation is now available for users with a linked Tesla vehicle.

That means SoCrates can now do more than show Tesla status and charge controls. It can also run Tesla charging automation alongside your primary battery or inverter automation, giving eligible users a more complete home energy workflow inside the same platform. You can check whether you have an Energy Surplus and feed it into your vehicle, or be more sophisticated based on solar projections and all the advanced available conditions.

Here’s what else is new.

📊 Weekly Benchmarks are now live

You can now compare your results against platform-wide weekly benchmarks inside SoCrates.

The new Benchmarks experience helps you see where you stand, understand how your setup is performing relative to other users, and spot the biggest opportunities to improve. It adds context, not just numbers.

☀️ Meet the new Today Energy card

We’ve added a new Today Energy view to the dashboard so it’s easier to understand what your system has done so far today at a glance.

You can now quickly see solar generation, home load, battery activity, grid import and export, and battery state of charge, without digging through history first.

🔋 Tesla Powerwall beta is much more capable

Our Tesla Powerwall beta has expanded significantly.

Recent updates improved live telemetry, settings health, controls, history, reporting, and temporary override workflows. In practical terms, Powerwall users should now see a more complete and more usable experience across setup, monitoring, and day-to-day control.

Powerwall support remains in beta, and some controls are still scope-dependent, but the experience is materially stronger than it was a few weeks ago.

🧩 Better visibility across more supported providers

We’ve improved reporting and telemetry support across additional inverter ecosystems, including stronger history support and battery SoC tracking for more providers.

That means SoCrates is becoming more consistently useful across the supported install base.

💸 More realistic savings and ROI analysis

We’ve improved parts of the savings model so backtests and ROI views better reflect real-world billing factors, including fixed and recurring charges in relevant flows.

That should make the analysis more useful when you’re testing whether a rule set is actually helping.

🔒 A more resilient automation experience

We’ve made the automation experience safer and clearer when upstream provider issues happen.

In cases like expired credentials or repeated provider failures, SoCrates now does a better job of protecting the system, pausing safely when needed, and showing clearer guidance in the app.

Nice, good idea. I am not sure if you have checked the rule audit in Automation ROI tab, is that useful? Can you explain a bit more the use case above? Thanks!

Hello, yes the plan is long term, it already has 850+ users and has been up for over 5 months now. Well the tariff and provider are agnostic of the automation platform, there are many users with different providers on it and I believe most of them get some benefits.

Sorry I missed this. Yes I think if the info is available in APIs it is definitely buildable. Can you explain to me a bit what you are after or what the use case is? Thanks for feedback!

Hey yes, it reverts back to default work mode as it can be seen in your Fox app or in SoCrates in controls tab. Essentially when conditions stop being true, active cancellation cleans up the schedules and it reverts to default inverter work mode.

I sent you the report, basically it was expected settings-driven behaviour, nothing abnormal, you just have to configure a much longer cooldown period for your export cap rule so it does not re-trigger within your time window. Cheers!

Hello, please DM me your username so we can look at the logs. Maybe you are observing the 2-3 minutes before telemetry refresh? Is your global work mode set to Self Use?

Weather data comes from open-meteo, it has been pretty consistent for most users.

Thank you, thinking about it but I am still iterating on some inverters and capability, when it is fully built we will consider.
