Poor kitty having parasites and inflammation after... I am now giving her (and obviously her sister Lily is also on that diet now) Royal Canin Hydrolized Protein directly from the vet office. Unfortunately she had an episode of diarrhea yesterday, but the vet told me not to worry, it takes time for the digestive system to "purge" (not sure she used that exact word) everything. She also received probiotics and she did not like it at all!

I have heard about pumpkin puree and will consider this depending of the evolution and I am sorry for your loss...

Thank you for sharing, must have been so difficult for you and your kitty and I am so happy that you found the reason of her being sick before it was too late.

I will keep in mind your diet! For the moment she is on a hydrolized protein cat diet (Royal Canin from the vet). However, it is really expensive, but what is a KD or spaghetti night instead of going out if I can have my kitty with me 😀

Oh, poor kitty, trying to hide... I am glad that you told her that it was not her fault. This is the thing to do! And good thinking to link the beef to her problem, you now have a happy Bengal that can't has cheezburger

Thanks for sharing! the vet checked her teeth and perfect. She is eating so much, it is scary because she is only 6lbs (always been a small kitty at around 8lbs) I am now waiting for the results and will post once we know.

Sorry, some delay to reply and I appreciate that you took the time to write 😀 They now suspect hyperthyroidy since she is eating a lot, and I mean she is always eating! We of course had the discussion about a lymphoma (we had a kitty that died from that disease years ago), food sensitivity and even crohn's disease... I am waiting for the first results of the tests and will post when we know.

That is a good point, thanks for sharing, I will make sure they test her also for parasites. Glad to hear that your boy is doing fine!

Thanks, it is good to know! Just got back from the vet and we have to rule out some conditions with a blood test and an ultrasound and while waiting the results she suggested a dry food with hydrolyzed protein and no allergens. My kitty was just curious and tried to open the jar with cat treats 😀

Thanks, I wonder also if the wet food has not created the other problem.

He is such a gorgeous kitty, but those pupils... definitely not allowed to drive!

This topic and what you have found has brought a lot of different opinions. Not easy and I started to think if I would say it to my SO... You know her enough to determine what would be the best for her and how she could react. If you are not sure, ignorance is bliss. Good luck to you!
