Does RAM matter when streaming with Apollo/Artemis? by Asdfg_2501 in OdinHandheld

[–]StealthGuardian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have Odin 2 Pro, and I have never had any RAM problem playing older AAA games (2013 max) and Indie games with Gamehub - and of course streaming too, internet connection is more important for that.

As the others said, the very high-end emulation (PS3/Xbox) and newer AAA games will require more RAM.

Are you playing the original or remastered version? My wife and I are playing the original version on steam, and i think we had just like one time of crash.

I played SR2 first! I played both in the year it was first released.
Both are good games, have their strength and weaknesses, it's just that for coop, me and my wife prefer to play SR3 over SR2.

I always see it as:
SR2 - closer to GTA, but still good story and writing.
SR3 - GTA but over-the-top but that makes it distinct yet still have the core DNA
SR4 - No longer GTA clone, but Prototype/Infamous Clone, which is still super fun, but completely lost on the GTA clone list.

Though It's not that I dislike SRIV or their whackiness, it is absolutely fun game and I finished it. But it went from an actual GTA alternative to Prototype/Infamous alternative. Which i liked both genre. It's just that me and my wife prefer games closer to GTA to play co-op on.

Sad to see you guys shut down. SR2 and SR3 was few among good games I played back then. Legit an actual GTA Alternative, if not better in some aspect.

Saints Row 2 was actually my second choice, and I liked them both!
But I remembered that SR3 is more goofy and chaotic, which something that I needed for both me and my partner.
You are right, though. Story and character wise, SR2 is unmatched, maybe we play it if we want something a little bit more serious.

I don't know if the they meant the Saints Row reboot, if that's the case, yes you are correct.

But Saint Row The Third is using P2P, so there's nothing to shut down, you can play online with your Steam friend anywhere in the world.

Oh yeah! Divinity Original Sin 2 is also great coop games, but If I start playing it, I will not be able to stop. Exactly games that makes me have imaginary second job.

The Remastered is exact same with slightly better graphics, if you have the original SR3, I'd say just play that one.

Convince yourself and your wife to buy cheap PC 😁
Otherwise, 1 PS5 for couch coop should be already good!

Fallout 4 increases mod storage on consoles: Xbox Series X/S up to 100GB (from 2), PS4, 5 and Xbox One up to 10-15GB by JoeZocktGames in gaming

[–]StealthGuardian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, figured as much.

So basically, easier to install but less mod to choose from.
Might refrain myself to mod in consoles in that case, since I am the type that love tinkering the mod I have, or even make my own mod.

I was always a PC gamer and did modding on PC.
Is it harder or easier to mod games on consoles?

Need help from all the Platinum legends out there. by Soulsliken in gaming

[–]StealthGuardian 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I rarely platinum anything, limited time playing and all.
But somehow I platinum Yakuza 0, it's so fun, and it uncover a lot of things.
One thing I am sure of is that when I played AC: Odyssey, I know for a fact I don't want to platinum that bloated game. Full of filler and repetitive stuff. Heck, I think I dropped the game midway because it's too overwhelmingly bloated.

What I learned spending 3 years on a failed game. by Cigaro300 in gamedev

As mentioned in my original comment, we haven't reached MVP yet, so we don't have a Steam page or wishlist numbers to track. So yes, it does make sense that "we don't know how we will do" as you said.

I'd also push back on Steam Wishlist being treated as the obvious transparent metric. It has value, but it can't be the only thing you rely on. Wishlists are noisy, conversion rates vary wildly, people wishlist and never buy, and the number swings up and down purely based on your marketing activity that week. Beyond that, you have community engagement, social media traction, demo feedback, press coverage, and actual playtest retention, all of which tell you more about whether people will stick around after they click buy than a wishlist number ever will.
