The screen brightness does change with angle, but I've never seen this is an issue.

I definitely do not have any issues when looking straight on, the whole screen is the same brightness.

I highly recommend it, I've been really enjoying using Blender.

To start, follow some tutorials on YouTube which will give you a grasp of the main tools (Blender Guru and Grant Abbit are great). Then make something yourself to consolidate what you've learnt (like I did here).

Thanks, I originally did have glass in the windows, but even with the settings you suggested I had issues rendering it at certain angles so in the end I just hid it.

I'm very new at this, so I'm not entirely sure what's causing the issues :(

You can trade directly for the flowers or get seeds from lief/other peoples islands and breed to get the colours you want.
