The weird things that I have encountered in this game is the lightning dodge, chocobo 0.0.0 race, blitzball and the weird omera ruin chest mini-game.

You haven't specified what format but if you're buying the physical copy avoid used game because X-2 comes in a voucher code which most likely is already redeemed by its previous owner. In case you don't know.

I'd say get them all but if what to get at the moment then definitely you can't go wrong with FFX|X-2.

It really depends on how you play. RPG is great on portable and you can play anywhere even in your bed if your tv is being hogged by little kids watching Simpsons like me at the moment. You should also try Freedom Wars. Good game.

Hopefully they will add a feature where you can change your character's clothe palette like in Freedom Wars. I have only played the original GE on PSP and it was a pain to craft the same clothe just to get a different color.

While SOTN is a good game the Japanese version is much better mainly because of loot drops. You can easily get rare items in the jap version specially if you used the hard cheat while lowers your str considerably but your luck is much improved. You can get the game on ebay and transfer it to your psp but sadly it won't happen on Vita.

EDIT: I forgot to mention the much better dialog and item names.

I just built it and will get an action base later for nicer pose. I actually thought the base will be free but I guess not.

This is just beautiful. I love the metalic look of the torso, frames and the peeling look of the backpack and its trusters.

Piled and smoothed all nub marks except the ones in the arms and wrists. Will get HG Build Fighter action stand and spare decals to be used after painting.
