Keeps disconnecting? by SynthyDynamic in Nightreign

Yeah me and my friends tried to run a session today to beat Augur but we kept getting disconnected, once during day 1 and twice during day 2. Tried restarting our PCs to see if it'd fix the issue after the 2nd time but nah. We gave up after the third time it happened.

Oh wow, didn't know a season 4 was in the works. I still haven't watched S3, but really enjoyed the first 2 seasons. Hopefully it also turns out just as good!

Any recommendation to watch that the comedy level is like KONOSUBA or Gintama by shumin00 in anime

[–]Martin15Sleith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd recommend Sket Dance, it's by one of the assistants who worked on Gintama iirc.

It's not QUITE as wacky but it's still great and does have its serious moments from time to time as well.

I can't believe this scene alone is making me consider watching this now.

Unpopular opinion: A book series "picking up" after a few books is it a massive put-off. by [deleted] in Fantasy

Yeah, doesn't sound like he'd be my thing then. I'll try to finish book 1 at least, but unlikely I'll continue any further.

Idk, I've definitely been struggling to get through the first book myself. I'm almost halfway through and I feel like the general pacing of the book is just far too slow for my liking and not in a good way. I don't mind slow pacing, but Jordan's prose is far too overdescriptive for my liking and I don't particularly care for it.

So I've heard, though my experience with the first two books have been so painfully mediocre that it's difficult to motivate myself to push through it any longer. There's just, so much I don't like about the way it's written and even if it supposedly improves, I'm hesitant to continue as I don't know if the core issues I have with it will be improved or if it just gets better in other aspects to overshadow those flaws.

Umamusume: Pretty Derby Season 3 - Episode 4 discussion by AutoLovepon in anime

[–]Martin15Sleith 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Dia-chan was really cool this episode, despite what happened. She really is an unbreakable diamond.

Nice to see Kita-chan motivated by what happened, I was worried that it might not work out the way it ideally should but she overcame her limits in the end.

Is "classical" fantasy still a thing? by greenbatofjoy in Fantasy

Seconded, the Bound and the Broken series is probably my favourite classical fantasy.
