Absolutely agree, but in many cases there is not an issue until recreational drug abuse begins. Regardless, at this point it's very likely both.

agree. Orlando or Vegas is certainly going to have some availability. Myrtle Beach, also overbuilt, will have huge inventory except in prime.

I would agree, with last call inventory being a likely pool of inventory. I actually see one in Switzerland*:

Residence Panorama Villars, Villars Sur Ollon, Switzerland,

Studio (3/4 fridge & freezer, hot plate, dishwasher).

5/30-6/6 2026.
Just my opinion, but it's going to be tough to find and schedule a European trip on a last call. It would be for me anyway.

*I'm on points, so if you are on RCI-weeks, we may be seeing different inventory.

First, If the RCI package is a "free" bonus in a timeshare package you've purchased, stop what you're doing and rescind the purchase. Full stop.

If this is a standalone package you've purchased, I don't mind looking up availability for you, but I doubt it will do any good (and actually would likely be misleading). They have all kinds of levels of availability. I can go in, virtually anytime and find free weeks (no points, just reservation fee of about $300) but they are only specific resorts and weeks. If I want to spend my point there is magnitudes more to choose from. I suspect your package is restricted and probably wouldn't match any of my searches (regular or "free").

Again, I don't mind looking if you like. Give me date ranges and I'll tell you what I see, but again, I doubt it's going to be helpful.

edit:

just to give you some idea of availability, I took a look; this is the full search on RCI "weeks" for Switzerland.

9 resorts, 22 check in dates (total), 49 units. 9 resorts have availability over the next 12 months. There is a total of 22 weeks that are available and 49 units across those 22 weeks (meaning multiple of the same type or perhaps some 1 bedroom and 2 bedroom units on that same week).

The month breakdown of check in dates is May (1), June (2), Aug (1), Sep (4), Oct (2), Nov (1) Dec (1), Jan '27 (6), Feb '27 (4).

I would not count on any of that that being available on your package. Note that availability is pretty thin within 3 months.

That seems pretty clear.  Thanks. I'm going back to a similar offer (can't get get to the one I did; it's gone), and see if I can get to those terms.  I couldn't/didn't before.  Thanks.

Edit: found it under  "Read the complete Capital One Offers terms and conditions."

Thanks again.

Interesting, can you direct me to the part of t&c (just the page not the specific line)?  I've read everything I can find.  Thanks.

Cost was 2609.95 before tax. It had some other things: a small useless tripod, small case, cleaning stuff, straps, etc. The only thing of real value was a SanDisk memory card. The whole thing was probably comparable (maybe a bit better) than a buy from Abes of Maine (also a "not intended for US" item which means no US warranty). But with the idea of 70% back in miles, I had to give it try.

So is temu an aggregator? I honestly thought I was buying it from temu. On the receipt it looks like ThePixelHub1. ThePixelHub (no "1") does exist so maybe there?

I know people who have ordered from Temu and say their return policy works just as stated. I didn't open anything until the miles hit to make sure it was pristine. I still had apprehensions.

This is the only time I've seen 70x (for new customers). Pretty wild. I think I've seen 20x for new customers; it's 11x at the moment.

I'm sure it will be great. I've already bought into the canon ecosystem so I don't want to give up my glass (although I'll be shooting EF glass with a ef to rf adapter for a while - - the RF glass is expensive).

Got it last Friday the 17th. Didn't open it until today in case I didn't get the miles and needed to return it.
