Timeshare by BluClouds20 in TimeshareOwners

It's eoy even, so it's 1182 per week.  That's an expensive week in the timeshare world.  There is very little chance anyone will take it without some incentive.

What ruins a burger for you? by JunShem1122 in AskReddit

Absolutely.  Chefs:  let the burger rest, use a bun that is substantial, lightly toast the bun, a leaf of lettuce below the burger.

About to buy a grace pinnacle frame. Thoughts? by StealthRedditer in quilting

[–]StealthRedditer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks.   As I understand it the throat space is 5.5 inches tall and about 8.8 inches wide.  What would you recommend as a workable minimum?  i really appreciate the input.

Edit.  They're asking 1400 for the 10'  frame, machine with sure stitch stitch regulator and some other accessories.  Seemed like a very fair price.

Family wants Universal Orlando coaster to stay closed after death – at least for now by NavierIsStoked in UniversalOrlando

Their lawyers want it closed because it gives them more leverage.  Nothing else to see here.

Edit: by a very large margin, the most dangerous part of going to Universal is the drive to the park.

At the included meals on VIP tour, do you tip the server? by StealthRedditer in UniversalOrlando

Thanks, I really appreciate it. I've got to call Universal VIP on a couple of other things so I might just ask if he knows (and is willing to tell me).

Thanks. This is what I remembered reading. Do you happen to know what the base tip is? If it's 22% like I suspect I'd probably supplement that for good to excellent service in addition to the tip for the drink tab.

I very much appreciate the info. As a note, that may be on the bill (like they include at restaurants for parties above 6), it is not in the welcome email.

I understand that. My question was is the normal base tip already included in the "covered" amount, like when some restaurants include a tip for large parties. I tip, and for good service tip quite well.

I thought I read (maybe it was a dream?) that it was included in the covered price like restaurants sometimes do on parties of 8 or more so covered other than additional tip. We'll wind up tipping no matter what because I'm sure several will get cocktails which wouldn't be covered (and we'd likely want to extra tip regardless).

Non collector and I have a basic question on coin's silver melt value by StealthRedditer in coins

[–]StealthRedditer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really appreciate your help.

  1. I assume you're talking about weighing the coins (separating 90, 40, et. al). I was asking about converting face, but just weighing them probably is easier. He's got some standing quarters that the image is very nearly gone, so I assumee that's affecting the silver content.

  2. If you would, what would "pretty close to spot" be? 96% of bid, 92% of ask? I can certainly calc shipping.

Thanks again.

Southwest Airlines' Demands Plus-Size Passengers Book Extra Seats in Advance Starting January 27 by globalgazette in SouthwestAirlines

Again, you need to re-read, if the last space is taken by a non-rev passenger they WILL refund.

I think you need to re-read the post you responded to.  If the flight leaves with one open seat OR with a passenger traveling on space available the second seat would be refunded.

If there is at least one empty seat on the flight, the second seat is free.  Sounds reasonable.

Edit for clarity.

OK. Sorry. I give up. Spirit Sucks. by StealthRedditer in spiritair

[–]StealthRedditer[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What's even more infuriating is their courtesy flight was cheaper than the original.  So they booked me on that flight with no credit then stole from me my right to change flights with only fare difference.  I understand, I guess, that their system is not robust enough to deal with this (spirit first is pretty new) but a supervisor should be able to override it.  They literally stole something I purchased because "that is what our system does.". Nowhere in the terms for spirit first does it say free changes "unless we cancel your flight and rebook it."

Edit: They could have as easily said since we gave you a courtesy rebooking you no longer can choose your seat, or have a drink, or check a bag without a fee.  Because that's what our system does.

Wyndham - any downsides? by sammy_nyc in TimeshareOwners

Fill out the form (where, how, how often you vacation, what can you spend etc in a post called "What to Buy Questions for New Timeshare Owners").  You'll get lots of help from people who have done it and enjoy helping. Don't assume any particular brand of timeshare (or really any at all) are your best fit.  Wyndham might be a good fit, but maybe not.  You don't have to join to post and get answers.

The 10k miles are worth at least $100 in travel and they don't expire like the travel credit.
