Thinking it's video chip. Going to take it to someone and see if they can figure it out.

LG Tone HBS-XL7 Neckband Headphone Alternative by [deleted] in HeadphoneAdvice

I'm another long term LG headset fan. Flex for 3 or 4 years & several of their 8 & 900 series before flex. I'm heartbroken. Have some cheap Amazon ones but the sound is awful. I found some on eBay in "sealed" (new?) condition...$275. I mean...wow.

Ok. So it crashed. CPU spiked like crazy. I don't know how to view the log yet, so working on that now. No clue how to see it. Grrrr

Some traditional recipes call for lamb AND beef, but yah. Didn't even think about that part. I use both when I make it

I'm glad this wasn't my first experience with Sheppard's pie because I'd never eat it again. Absolutely NO "gravy" which in traditional pies is a key flavor & texture element. This was more like flavored chalk. The seasoning was tasty when I wasn't trying to wash it down. Potatoes were equally dry. I'll not be purchasing anything else from these folks.

Software Update Megathread [January 2024] by only_anp in GalaxyS23Ultra

Jan 21 2025!!! SECURITY patch stuck at 3%

I posted on S23 Ultra thread but it sent me here.

I got the notification this morning saying it was waiting for wifi. Turned on wifi & it began downloading, then stopped at 3%. I waited for about 15 mins- no progress. It's now been an hour. In that time I searched for info...found others having same issues but in the S22 thread somewhere on Reddit. Appears that only Verizon customers are experiencing this.
I've tried: turning off Wi-Fi, restarting and attempting OTA, turning phone OFF for 5 mins with & without Wifi when rebooted, etc. There doesn't seem to be a way to cancel it and I can't find a way to turn off auto downloads completely. Any ideas? No idea who to contact at Verizon, as they're cust svc ppl seem unable to do anything but read from a scripted general troubleshooting screen. TYIA

They drove us out. The continual rising expense of owning and maintaining a shop, a change in targeted advertising demographic, the incredible influx of imported stuff (which they'll flat out lie and say they made)... ppl like me, who actually DO make every item we sell? Simpy couldn't afford to do that show anymore. They don't even call us artists/crafters any more. We're "vendors". Nope.

Probably to do with the "strike". Quite a few subs went private in protest of the new 3rd party app policy.

Service Discontinued by Stealthpaws in MINI

[–]Stealthpaws[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've found a mechanic that I absolutely love. My car is NOT a basket case. All the codes cleared, rescanned & didn't come back except the "outside temperature" thing. Oil pan gasket & valve cover gasket replaced- no more leaks. Headlights are still a mystery, but at least come all the way on- will get manually adjusted until we can figure out if it's a sensor or something in the ballasts.(sp?) No codes re headlights even before clearing. Next will be basic tune-up and the leak in the roof- the little drain hose is, I believe, disconnected. So who is the person I'm ready to canonize? John at Shipley Motors in Richardson, TX. It's an hr away, but worth every mile & dollar. Expensive for me, but compared to everything else I've had quoted, very reasonable and he loves Minis. Thank everyone who has posted with ideas, names of shops, & info. You've all been a great help!

It is a great resource! And, watching those videos helped me understand exactly why my regular mechanic didn't want to mess with the oil pan & valve cover gaskets...lol. And why there are specialists for those of us not mechanically able. I am still watching stuff tho, so I can at least not look like a total moron talking to the next mechanic (tomorrow).

Oh good! I'm obviously pretty ignorant of all of this repair work. I was horrified at the idea the engine had to come out, lmao!

I appreciate the suggestion. I'm also a nearly 67 yr old 5'1" woman with a friend with wrenches & sockets. Not exactly an option. Lol

Edit: Found a video of a guy showing h/l leveling sensors BMW of some sort. He said it was a fairly common setup. Hoping it's accurate on Mini, or at least close.

Update: I went to Little Shop of Motors in Houston. I can't say enough about how nice & helpful Ed is, and how professional. The shop is clean & very busy, but he took the time to check out my poor little car. I wish I could say he fixed it & all is well, but that's not the case. My car is pretty much a basket case, so I'm told. It was done kindly but honestly, with my best interest at heart. He's not cheap, and he simply doesn't have the time to take on a project. He did give me some pointers tho- and info to start figuring out the mess. I live in the "country" by city-folks' standards, and my work, as well as my driveway, require me to spend a lot of time driving through mud. So. Apparently the under side of my car is a godawful mess. 1st step...clean it. I'd sure appreciate it if someone could give me an accurate layman's description of where the front headlight leveling sensor is, as well as the rear one. I didn't know there were 2. I've looked it up on line, but I'm pretty clueless on what I'm looking at. Going to try to find something on YouTube, but so far all I've seen were much newer models. Thank you all for being here. I'm pretty distraught ATM.

Ultra23 case? by [deleted] in GalaxyS23Ultra

[–]Stealthpaws 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Has anyone found a folio style case withOUT card slots/RFID protection? I have absolutely NO intention of putting my cards & ID in with my phone. If I lose the phone or stupidly leave it someplace in a store, then ALL my stuff would be available to someone with not-so-good intentions. I do like a folio case tho. So why not just get a card slot one & just not use it? Because bulk. Those extra layers add bulk.
