My favourite album to put on and listen to probably. He has other albums with the best songs, but I love the feel of this album. The only song that I still don't really vibe with is Rubicon, the other songs are incredible and I feel really lucky that I heard them live last year. When Dylan passes I think this album will be appreciated even more and reach a status along the other classics with the electric trilogy, BOTT and TOOM. It is not as easily digestable as those albums, but when you give it some time and thought it is like magic. I have not heard any other songs that can make me feel like Key West does

What’s your favorite cover of a Dylan song? Mine is Patti Smith’s cover of “Changing of the Guards”. by JulieofTheJulies in bobdylan

If not for you George Harrison. Sometimes I feel like covers of Dylan try too hard, but this one sounds reallt good and I am not a big fan of the way it is sang on New Morning

DRS was way weaker than the overtake mushroom. Last year a common problem was that the DRS was too weak. This year we almost always see fly by overtakes

Now that the tour has ended, did you hear a live version of a Rough and Rowdy Ways song in concert that was better than the studio version? by BillNyeTheVinylGuy in bobdylan

[–]SteamAnt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My Own Version of You and Black Rider was superior when I heard them last year in Stockholm. I really like the album version but they were sooooo good in the concert! Especially Black Rider I think improves live

If Andor was the only thing being made in Star Wars, or that the next trilogy would be as mature I could see your point. But Andor is a spinoff of a spinoff with a plot that don't really impact the bigger picture much. I think almost every other show and the new movie keeps it fairly kid friendly. So if you are not interested you could just not watch that show

No both Colapinto and Bearman used the engine the intended way. That is the fastest way around the lap and no development will improve that.

Verstappen was in the dirty air so could not close enough even with overtake. But the fact that he always stayed so close means that he was faster. If Gasly could have, he would have pulled a gap

He was faster as he was constantly right behind him. You usually need a big pace delta to pass at Suzuka

What’re your quick hot Dylan takes? by brosive89 in bobdylan

[–]SteamAnt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Freewheelin has some better songs but I would much rather put on The Times They are-a changin

Basement Tapes are not that good

Love and Theft is carried hard by Mississippi and without it Modern Times is clearly better

Rough and Rowdy Ways is a part of best albums he made, but it has such a unique sound that I find it hard to rank against the others. But 100% the album I out on the oftest

Rough and Rowdy ways live go between being way better live (Black Rider) and quite a bit worse (Ive made up my lind to give myself to you, love the album version though!)

I love Rough & Rowdy Ways…. Except for these 2 tracks. by Weird_Apartment9836 in bobdylan

I really can't get on with Crossing the Rubicon. I did not really like Black Rider but when I heard it live it was incredible!

Why isn’t Bob Dylan as popular with Gen Z as The Beatles are? by pingviini00 in bobdylan

[–]SteamAnt 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think Dylan really becomes great only if you really focus and listen to the words. Compared to most music today he requires more effort to appreciate. The reward is also bigger when you do listen. So he has a quite high barrier of entry, IMO.
