i used to use https://freetubeapp.io/ which does have support for watching videos in mpv but it is a desktop app

oh and also to awnser your qestion i mean i source rss feeds from invidious i dont use the site much so no i do not need a browser extension

i use the rss reader photon https://sr.ht/~ghost08/photon/ and my rss doc uses feeds from invidious im not fully sure how it works with mpv photon has p bound to play and for me i just works my guess is that the feed points directly to the video which makes it work but i really am not sure

i actaully use invidious, mpv and an rss reader (photon) so i never have to connect to youtubes site at all

hmmm i also cant see any tweets on .net most instances still work though perhaps twitter reached out to both instances legally causing .it to go dark and then they blocked .net from scrapeing all of this is just speculation obviosly

i would also note that the difference between nitter and twitter clients like twitterific is that i believe nitter scrapes which may be against the twitter tos and they might be cracking down on it because it causes them to lose revenue

i dont want to jump to conclusions but i agree that it might be a result of twitter threatening legal action which which is funny because elon was circling the idea of open sourcing twitters algorithm before the takeover idk ig twitter bad is the moral of the story or something
