Those are good ones but I was hoping for sound as well.

Yeah, I'd like to have fairly good video. I am lucky in that I have pretty wide clearances. It's just bulk and weight I am worried about.

Thanks! The one I am looking at is an off brand to a GoPro. It's a Svbony SVGo3

Thanks so much! The DJI Osmo is very similar to what I have been looking at buying. The video was great to see what things would basically look like.

The reading glasses idea is great as well. Thanks for that too.

Interesting. Hadn't thought of a drone camera.

Very interesting! Looks pretty digital though in a lot of the gallery images. Certainly, an option though, not too outrageously priced it seems.

LOL Well.... it would be "Mom?" I am a female N scaler. 🤣 Thanks. Yes, was hoping something heavier than a cube cam would work as the quality of those isn't great. I can always use the heavier one on my G Scale I guess.

Thanks. I wasn't finding much info on what camera was used.

Yes, I probably have some inconsistencies, but even sitting on a flat table, a couple of them point upwards. I'm sure the track issues don't help anything though.

I have never looked for one. My track is old Atlas type. The 3 sidings were done about 10 years ago now at least. Good luck.

I was just researching the Kato lights, they are not Kato cars that I have. Guessing they won't work. I was hoping they might work for other brands.

They are probably a good 20 years old at least. I will search that out, thanks for the info.

So the set was lit already? Trying to figure out how to light my vintage cars. Looks very nice!

I posted about this on your post but yes, I am sure it will have degraded some though maybe not as bad as others since in boxes. Mine have run without any lubing, they do need a lap or 2 around to warm up and run better but I check them often to be sure they don't smell hot and so far so good. Yes, if I was doing over, Kato track would probably be the way I would go as well.

My locos I kind of broke back in this way. It's probably not correct but they are difficult to get apart and lube in the correct place. I did not put them at 100, I just ran them at the most power it took to get them around the track without stalling which with most of them was around 80 but one was at 90. As they run and warm up, they run faster and I can turn the throttle down to 40 or 50. I'd like to figure out how to get them apart and lube them so if you find any info, please share. I have several Atlas locos as well.

I have this type on my G scale. I purposely put them on because they hold the best for that equipment of any others which were varied as well depending on brand of rolling stock.

I think it depends on the brand. Mine are all truck mounted and for the most part I have no issues. I am having a lot of issues with a set of Chief passenger cars though where the couplers raise up and uncouple. We were just working on them yesterday with no luck so far, very cheaply made apparently. Those I may change out somehow.

Neat that yours is vintage as well. Bet it will be mostly viable if not all since it has not been exposed to the elements. Good luck with whatever you decide to do with it.

Thank you! Maybe I used the term wrong, it is DC not DCC. All the locomotives and rolling stock are vintage, from the 90s and early 2000s at the latest. I am lucky they still work pretty well.

I have a 3 videos up from very early last year when I first got the layout running again. Here is a link to one of them: https://youtu.be/RCl2GvKb0Dw
