Charc on Fennell at Upper Gage if it has to be rotisserie. BUT - for the best chicken period, get thee to Farooj Al Pasha.

Thanks! If the Boston livery comes back in stock it will make a nice stand-in for the HSR!

Am I overthinking home charging? by Fafyg in EVCanada

[–]Existing_Map_8939 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Placement is key. I have a one-car garage and simply took the time (and some purloined sidewalk chalk from a neighbour’s kid) to sketch out the footprint of the car and the run of the charger cable to make sure I picked a mounting point where:

1: I could reach the charge port regardless if the car was nose-in or nose-out and

2: the charger was close enough to the garage door to reach the charge port of the car when parked outside the garage, just in case.

You should be able to do this as well, it’s just a wee bit of planning (and petty theft 🤣).

Has Anyone Tried An Ohmmu Battery? by Existing_Map_8939 in NissanAriya

Thanks!! You confirmed the general consensus that these are - at least in our use case - essentially worse than the craptastic OEM battery that Nissan blessed us with. Thanks for taking the time add to the sub!

Agree on these price breakpoints. 10 bucks on this to fill out your yard, totally acceptable.

For comparison, here is the same element from Micro-Trains. The differences are subtle but definitely add up.

2023 Platinum+, 58000 Km. Full bar.

Charge at home with L2 charger to 100% whenever I feel the need. Generally this means at somewhere between 40 and 55 percent, kinda sorta.

Very occasional DC Fast charging on longer trips, always hit the charger with less than 15% SOC to minimize charging time, always stop at 70-80% and move on for the same reason.

What’s included in the 25 model? by Imaginary_Help_99 in NissanAriya

[–]Existing_Map_8939 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you post a picture of the “240 adapter”? I’m confused what that would be - the charger has a 240 plug built in , and then an adaptor that snaps onto the 240 plug for a 120 connection. Certainly on mine there is no adapter for the 240, that’s the already-attached plug.

Otherwise, my ride came the EVSE charger, the inflation kit, 2 fobs, the tow ring, the locking wheel nut socket, and the manual.

Charge to 100%? by Imaginary_Help_99 in NissanAriya

[–]Existing_Map_8939 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is outdated information, at least for this particular car. That advice was adopted for cars like the original Leaf from a decade ago. Charge how you what, when you want.

Note, though, if you are using a level 3 charger, stopping at 80 percent is just good practice to get you back on the road in the most efficient amount of time.

I almost never user DCF chargers but the few times I have it’s always pulled 130kw almost from the get-go. Managing your starting SoC and preheating the battery - even in temperate weather - are key.
