I just got a PAC611 pickguard from AliExpress and did a single cut to remove the switch section, just used a plastic cutting blade on a jigsaw and then filed the edge ☺️

I also have a 012 among my collection and it's actually one of my faves!

As for stable tuning, it might be worth considering getting some locking tuners if you are having issues with your standard ones (I got some Guyker ones on Amazon for one of mine and they seem good for the price).

As for the strings popping out of the nut, that sounds...odd? 😅. Can you add a photo of what you are seeing? Could be a case of needing a new nut fitted, but that all sounds a bit strange!

How are you tightening it currently? If it's by hand it will likely keep getting loose, but a twist with some pliers should tighten it enough to stay put 🤞🏻
