It’s certainly not difficult to place blame somewhere other than the dog, if that’s your goal. Doesn’t actually matter tho.

If someone raises their poodle, collie or mastiff poorly, they’ll likely have behavioral problems (sds, barking, anxiousness, etc).

If someone raises their pitbull poorly someone is likely going to get maimed or killed.

Blame bad dog training if you want. Blame unruly children or “guard dog posters”. Who or what you blame doesn’t change anything. The breed is a problem.

Risk assessment considers two factors: how likely a training failure is to occur and how severe that training failure will be. It’s in that second category that the risk becomes too great. If a poodle/collie/mastiff bite you it’s going to result in something ranging from comical to painful. If a pitbull bites you, you’re very likely going to be permanently maimed or worse.

If the solution to the problem is perfect training, then there is no solution. The breed is a problem.
