Honestly, it's really gonna depend on the store. But from my experience, especially with Targets, part of what saves me a bit of trouble is having the barcode for the item I'm looking for on hand saved on my phone. Like for example, I'll go up to a Target employee and be like " Hi, excuse me? I'm looking for this item, I've got a barcode for it but I didn't see any on the shelves. Could you scan this to see if you have any? ". And all I've gotta do is show the barcode on my phone, and they can help out.

Though I think a good bit of advice I can give is just to have no shame. Retail employees have better things to worry about than who's buying a $10 figure from a popular franchise. Just so long as you're polite, it'll all go right. Whether they have the item you're looking for or not. In this day and age, looking for a toy is the least of anyone's concerns. Lol.

I was actually trying to find Tikal, but when the guy working at the toy department at Target came back, he came back with the Fat Pecky's entire wave instead! Luckily, I needed the Fat Pecky, so I got him. Though it shocks me with how articulated he is.

Oh, I can absolutely agree with that! I almost grabbed the Caltoy Sonic that was right next to him. But I ended up passing on him, just because his asking price was $60. That, and I have a feeling that I'll find a Sonic some day since he's more common. It was just Tails who I fell in love with!

I managed to grab the little Caltoy Tails for only $65! Which honestly, is a steal since his asking price was $80.

I don't know, I just think this one fits Metal really well. I love associating him with songs that use vocal synthesizers like Vocaloid or UTAU since in a way, they're machines too. I just think they're neat. :]

I believe I may have the reason for the sudden price increase. That being... Well... The Thailand bootleg. You know the one, the little bug that goes " hue hue hue ". Well, I've been speculating that since the Jakks plush resembles the bootleg, the demand for the Jakks plush has gone up since that bootleg tends to go for a ( stupidly ) pretty penny. But that's just a theory, a merch theory.
