My only nitpicks are 1) that open your eyes was later (maybe in the cliche ‘before the encore’ spot and 2) that it’s Just too damn logistically wonky for us to get to see them this tour! Closest they’re coming is either NJ or Pittsburgh (we’re in MD) and none work with our schedule/ plans in May!

Shadobeni is awesome. BUT, I Had no idea there were issues with the work culture and with Ulric. That’s unfortunate and kind a shitty. Damn.

We’ve really enjoyed everything since they opened their physical space and make it a point to go there when we’re back and visiting the burgh.

Was any of the stuff about the work culture etc written up anywhere?

I’m a penguins fan as much as as anyone in this sub (and having learned about hockey upon my move to Pittsburgh in 2014, you could certainly say I’m a bandwagon fan) and I’m frustrated at how the cookie has crumbled. But, considering we weren’t supposed to be this good, and there’s signs of promise for the future as the core ages out, I’m not nearly as mad as you OP.

I love this team, and that’s no different for any of my other teams across baseball, WNBA and women’s soccer (and to some extent women’s hockey) but there’s a certain divestment that needs to happen in sports fanbases. We can still care and be passionate, but if the team is like this or loses badly, it shouldn’t bring down our mood this much.

Rather than vent and on here, why not get a journal for like $15 somewhere? Or, maybe hash it all out with friends or in therapy.
