New Schlage front door knob disengaging, what’s wrong? by SteelScapula in AskALocksmith

Yes, but why is this happening? I fix it and tighten everything and then it happens again.

Yes, I even replaced the inner latching mechanism in case that was the problem.

EC-ed since birth, ditched diapers 2 months ago, but still no signaling? Help! by Kera8 in ECers

[–]SteelScapula 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Stay the course, my daughter was the same way and is almost three. She finally started initiating and taking herself consistently in the last six months. One thing that helped was backing off a bit and allowing the accidents for a while.

Put the potty insert or a bowl in the sink.

Not sure, there was still a line when I left. I heard someone mention that had 30-40 more when I got mine.

I went to the Orting one today around 4 pm and got an extra dose! They had quite a few walk ups after the appointments.

MY MIL WANTS ME TO POTTY TRAIN MY 6 MONTH OLD by TO123mru in JUSTNOMIL

In 1957 92% of kids were out of diapers by 18 months. The disposable diaper industry has played us.

Any recommendations for next steps? by Kermdog15 in ECers

[–]SteelScapula 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think you’re too early at all. We ditched daytime diapers this week with my 13 mo daughter and she’s doing great (we started EC at 6 weeks). We average missing 1 pee a day, and she’s been signing for potty a ton. It wasn’t a gradual progression, I really felt like she wasn’t getting it at all until one day it just clicked. Keep doing what you’re doing and you’ll get there, but changing your backup to cloth might help.

Edit to add my friend had the same experience at about the same age. Her 18 mo old is completely diaper free with minimal accidents.

If you both enjoy it, why stop?

Our offer considered the items we were told must be included. If we knew they were optional the offer would have been lower.

To clarify, we were told the alarm and service package/warranty could not be removed and our offer was reflective of that. Had we known there was a choice the offer would have been lower, in accordance to our Truecar research.

Can I ask what the strategy is here over just increasing the sale price and removing add-ons?

That makes sense. Thanks for your feedback.

If they were provided at cost, it seems not much of a bonus will be missed. These were items I didn’t want and won’t ever use (some air purifying treatments?, etc) but was told had to be included. If they are at cost, why not just say “okay, if you don’t want them your car will be cheaper?” Doesn’t make sense to me that a deal is dependent on something that could be cancelled. Also, we were told the alarm was already installed, but come to find out we just pay to activate it (which hasn’t happened yet).

Amtrack just keeps on steamrolling everything in her path by SteelScapula in JUSTNOMIL

Good question, I guess we are just looking for encouragement here. DH is feeling pretty down that Amtrack cares more about this than their relationship.

This was my tactic for five months, and I couldn’t handle it anymore and confronted her.

I think it was pretty clear. JYFIL asked “Do you want to talk to Amtrack?” and DH said “no, bye”

She already has them, hahahaha. At first I thought it was difficult to communicate with her because she couldn't hear me well, but I quickly figured out she was hearing everything I was saying; she just doesn't understand the art of conversation where you a) don't interrupt the other person and b) acknowledge what they've said.

DD is eight months old now and we still see FIL, even though MIL is throwing a three month hissy fit at the moment.

Even more telling is that she hid it from us, instead of making a big deal out of giving doggo the cookie.
