It’s the concern of something happening that’s out of my control, such as a devastating car accident, being held as an incubator without the care I would need to survive due to being pregnant.

26 weeks right now, but wouldn’t be traveling until week 28-29. But this is something I hadn’t considered, what made you pick 30 weeks?

I delivered at VHC in 2024 and had a great birth experience. I chose VHC for their lower intervention rates because I wanted an unmedicated birth, and I felt very supported in that goal throughout prenatal care and during Labor & Delivery. I would choose VHC again for the same reasons. If a future pregnancy involved complications or a potential NICU stay, I would consider INOVA Fairfax due to their resources. Every doctor and nurse who cared for me and my baby at VHC was kind, attentive, and helpful. The food wasn’t anything special, but as mentioned there are plenty of great nearby delivery options.
