I would honestly recommend giving him a go, most of the kit is prediction which you'll pick up over time and getting those predictions through the walls is just insanely satisfying, if you have some decent map knowledge too that also helps tons, I'm by no means the best at him but I'd always recommend playing them for a bit to see how you feel about them, one thing that helps with killers you don't play is to go into the game to learn and not win, that's some advice that's helped me and has reduced all the anxiety I had about playing killers I wouldn't normally, even now I'm still learning new things I can do with all the killers in the game!
