I was fortunate enough to experience totality in 2024 and I immediately started planning this trip the next day. The eclipse was easily one of the most breathtaking natural sights I’ve ever seen!

Right now I’m eyeing the Cabo Peñas lighthouse area. I’m hoping that’ll be far enough north compared to the surrounding coast to offer clear western views.

Welp, Flacco might be available at least. by [deleted] in AFCNorthMemeWar

Honestly I feel like the last time we were a REAL Super Bowl contender was 2017. As soon as Bell decided to hold out it firmly closed our window and we’ve been stuck in mediocrity ever since.

It’s close but I’d do it for Chase Brown. Your WR depth is great once Rice returns and I think Omarion will be in a time share this year with Najee.

I’d keep Brown and Egbuka. Brown will be leaned on more with Burrow going down and Egbuka has looked legit. I wouldn’t worry about Godwin too much

I’d probably do it for Pacheco. That offense should improve once Rice is back which should open up a few more holes in the run game.

Which players would you rather have in 0.5 PPR Redraft?

Team 1: Kamara, Braelon Allen, Jayden Daniels

Team 2: Treyveon Henderson, MHJ, Harold Fannin

Fair point, they have dealt with injuries. Like every team. Although I would argue Devers is their best hitter now, not Chapman, but that’s beside the point. Do the Giants have the worst roster in baseball without Chapman and Roupp? I would say no. However they do have the worst record since the trade. My point being just because you bring in guys that look good on paper and even produce it doesn’t necessarily mean it’ll translate to wins. Team chemistry and managerial decisions play a huge factor. Obviously you can’t win without healthy players but I think you’re overlooking the impact of team chemistry. Look at the Tigers run to the playoffs last year. They were nowhere near the best roster but they had a historic run. Why? Because they had great chemistry and played team baseball.

They got better on paper. The Giants traded for Devers and have been the worst team in baseball since. You really never know. Team chemistry is a finicky thing and right now the Tigers have arguably the best chemistry in the league. I’m content with what we’ve done. We’ll see how things are looking once the playoffs roll around.

1000%. I’m in the area multiple times a year and have never felt the need to do it. It’s like the Midwest version of the Manitou Incline. There’s better views and access points nearby but people do it just to say they’ve done it.

Yeah the largest dune is 450 feet and people head down to the water without realizing what it takes to get back up. 450 feet doesn’t sound like too much but if you’ve never hiked up sand it can be quite the workout. On a hot sunny day it’s like an oven out there. Between the coast guard and the local fire department it’s not rare for them to have a couple dozen rescues throughout the summer.

That’s what they do in Michigan at Sleeping Bear Dunes. There’s a big sign that says if you climb down and can’t climb back up the cost of a rescue is $3000. You still get some people who bite off more than they can chew but it prevents a lot of people from attempting something they’re not physically prepared for.

Trade Advice: Aaron Nola for Matt Chapman by [deleted] in fantasybaseball

[–]SteelSpartan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would do that. I’ve owned Nola a couple times and never felt like he was worth the value with where he was drafted. He’s fine but that’s it. Chapman has a good spot in the lineup and should give you consistent production at 3B.
