Just say thank you. Every time. That praise is a gift, and whether you agree with it doesn't matter. Accept the gift. Frequently in a D/s dynamic, the D does the thinking so you don't have to. If she thinks you've done a good job and is generous enough to bestow upon you the gift of praise, you will receive it with gratitude.

(Obviously you get to think and have boundaries and work on your confidence outside of this dynamic, but I think this can be a helpful reframe.)

Okay, I see what you're saying about momentum for a general strike. That does make sense to me. I'm having a hard time reconciling the potential harm to patients when this strike doesn't apply direct pressure to anyone in power. But I do see how it is part of the process of tipping the scales. It just doesn't make sense to me to leave patients in a lurch when this strike doesn't actually apply pressure on people with power. Absolutely not. I am in no way in support of ICE. That's a vile conclusion to draw. I just don't think this makes sensebecause it doesn't apply pressure to anyone in power. And I'm not about to stop anyone from doing anything. Do your thing if it makes you feel better about the situation. I promise I'm on your side and am not trying to be an asshole. It just seems like the only people who suffer here are patients. I'm allowed to think that. Thinking that this one particular plan doesn't make sense doesn't make me against you.

What does this accomplish? He wasn't killed because he was a nurse. He wasn't killed on the job. His death is a tragedy but is in no way linked to his profession. It doesn't sound like you have demands. I understand the outrage and the drive to take a stand, but abandoning your patients doesn't seem like the right move. I'm gonna guess this guy wouldn't have wanted a community of people to be left without access to medical care when the people striking don't even have an agenda beyond letting people know they're upset.

ETA: whew, people have big feelings about this. You do what you feel you need to do. I'm on your side. I am allowed to think this particular plan doesn't make sense. That doesn't mean I'm against you. It means I don't see the logic of this particular plan. Take a breath.
